Hosts beware

Hosts beware. Do not list with this rental platform. The communication, follow through, and payment processes are horrible! It has been 2 weeks since we hosted a two-day rental and no one has responded to a single email that we have sent and we have had to involve the Better Business Bureau of the polarimo County California local licensing board. Do yourself a favor and read the Better Business Bureau and all reviews that aren't published by Red awning as they are biased. Unless you feel like being constantly managing right awning more than you would have managed your own platform or property. They are simply a high price listing service that expects to get cleaners through turno and maintenance through Thumbtack and will say they are a full service platform but they are no service platform. Please do your homework and believe the things you read

Lack of professionalism and knowledge

I had a very disappointing experience with RedAwning, specifically with a representative named Scott. He was not only unhelpful, but he also demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge. Instead of trying to help or offer solutions, he was dismissive throughout the call and ultimately hung up on me before I had even finished speaking. This behavior is completely unacceptable. It has caused me to lose all trust in RedAwning.

“This townhome was absolutely perfect for UofI graduation in May! The location was 2 blocks from commencement making it ideal for every type of event associated with the university. The accommodations included every detail possible - tastefully decorated.”

Nice house, great time!

The location of the house was great! Very close to Killington, Pico and bars/restaurants. We had 6 adults, which fit comfortably in this 3-bedroom house. The hot tub didn’t hurt either! (Fits 4+ adults comfortably). We got 2 towels pp, which was fine for 4 days, but it was nice to have access to a washing machine/dryer just in case. We also brought 2 dogs, who could run around in the back yard, but enjoyed a longer walk at the park up the street. Everything at the house worked and was comfortable for us. I liked having a large breezeway on the first floor to bring in and store all the ski equipment. Only suggestions: add a sectional couch to the living room so 6 adults can sit comfortably to watch tv. Replace the tiny toilet upstairs, which is low to the ground. Thanks for a great time!

The booking experience was easy. My concern is that the fees included inflated the rental cost several hundred dollars above what I would have paid going directly with a local agency to the area.

Payment originally taken in USD rather than CAD. Payments always rejected by my bank. Not a pleasant experience. Would have preferred to book direct and avoid third party hassle.

Very easy process

I haven’t stayed at the property yet, so I can’t vouch for that but the whole booking process was very easy. I was notified and was in contact throughout the process. I was told who to contact if I had questions and I have been sent emails and will receive another one before our trip with arrival instructions.

I would not recommend this website to…

I would not recommend this website to anyone. I booked a cabin for 2 nights and they charged an extra $400 in fees that the official booking site for these cabins. They then canceled my booking because I didn't send them a photo of my ID within 6 hours. And now I have to wait who knows how long for a refund. I was also spammed with emails by multiple different accounts. In the end it was a blessing because I learned not to use outside websites like this and I saved a lot of money because I was able to rebook it on the official website for the cabin for $400 cheaper.
