Impossible to get hold of someone that knows what they're talking about

UK call center yes, but every call reaches 'reception' who have no visibility to your account, nor any technical or customer services capability. They promise to call back, never do. They promise to reply to emails, takes days. Router came misconfigured and locked so even when I connected to it via ethernet I was unable to manually setup the PPPoE settings. Waste of time, avoid. EDIT: I have shared my details with you, feel free to call and I'd gladly give my direct feedback as I've been trying to do for the last few days.

Connection mostly good and staff helpful

Line did go down for a few days and they did everything they could to help asap, Kevin was very helpful and we got credit back for the next month due to the inconvenience.

Patient and effective

Rebel persevered through a long, arduous process getting Openreach to install FTTP. Openreach would not allow me to initiate contact to arrange an appointment which is mind-numbingly short-sighted and unhelpful being a teacher that cannot take calls during the day. I can't imagine the mess I would be in with the undeserving, greedy broadband companies like Virgin Media, EE, Vodafone, BT, and their labyrinthian, unfair contract terms and predatory 'customer service'.

Superior Customer service

Great product with no issues . The only broadband service that offers a monthly rolling contract. Call answers quickly, unlike the big boys . Excellent Customer service . I highly recommend them

Router not reliable

The router is not proving to be particularly reliable harping back to the past. On average it needs to be power-cycled to restore WiFi connections about once a month. I thought these issues have been solved. It certainly has not been the case with other major ISP's equipment that I've used in recent years. Update 14/03/2025 Rebel called me within 3 hours of posting this review and suggested that a firmware update would solve the issue. They requested that they perform this over the air which I agreed to. This took a couple of minutes to perform and the router rebooted successfully. Early days but looks positive. I'm very impressed that they contacted me within hours of the post and addressed the problem especially as I hadn't contacted them. I upgraded my rating to 5 stars from 4 on the impressive response.

Premium Customers Services

Premium Customers Services , i had no chance to try the devices as they not available in my area but i placed the order anyway. Got in touch with the Support team and they stopped the shipping for the order i placed , cancelled the direct debit and refunded me right away. I’m fully convinced that their internet service is also great and i can’t wait to get back to them when the broadband will be available in my area!

So far so very good

I have been with Rebel since January and I must say the customer service has been exceptional. Really friendly and knowledgeable team. It’s so refreshing that people respond to you and answer your calls in a timely manner. Any little niggles I’ve had, the team at Rebel have tried their best to sort them out and provide good service at their end and with what they can control. So far so very good. Another huge bonus is as I’m on a short term tenancy I can pay a month by month. Although a little pricey it’s still worth every penny to have the flexibility. Great company, great service.

Everything as expected

The whole booking process was easy. The set up appointment went great and the competent technician set up the connection quickly. Since then, everything ran flawlessly without any issues.

It's constantly booting devices

It's constantly booting devices off the network daily with no rhyme or reason. We had made reports to customer services and was told it was fixed but it still happens regularly. When it works it's great. Only on a 12 month contract so it's easier to just put up with it now then try and change.

Got to be honest, best avoided

Got to be honest, Rebel were a massive disappointment, especially after seeing all the great reviews on Trustpilot. I moved into a new house at the start of the year, went with Rebel as they confirmed they could install broadband sooner than any of their competitors. From day one I constantly had issues getting the broadband installed. I realise that Rebel are relying on OpenReach to complete the installation works, however repeated visits from OpenReach engineers with no progress, each time each engineer having no idea of what had occurred previously, endless cycles of zero progress meant in the end I pulled the plug and went with EE who resolved all issues quickly, and I had broadband up and running inside a week. To rub salt in the wound, I have been receiving multiple emails from Rebel asking for their equipment to be returned, which I had done immediately after cancelling the contract last month. I previously received an email from Rebel to confirm receipt of the equipment but the "As of yet we have not received your return Rebel equipment" emails kept coming. Each time I would phone Rebel, explain the situation and they would phone back not long after confirming they did indeed have the equipment, only for yet another email to appear a few days later. Obviously a mix-up at their end but shows that behind the facade, there's quite an amateurish operation taking place at Rebel.
