I don’t know why there is no option for zero star . Worst service ever, after moving to other provider rebel still taking money. They took more than 6 month to set up my online account but i am still not able to login that account. If you try to contact them automated line says contact British gas , if you call British gas they says we don’t have access. What should i do because i paid more then £900 for 4 month and we are only 3 living
have been billed for the same period by both Rebel Energy and British Gas, and it has left me with a £246 bill from Rebel and British Gas now demanding £175 for that same timeframe. I paid Rebel Energy on 22 April and 19 May 2025, both times £123 — yet British Gas claims they were supplying my electricity starting 5 April.
I've called and emailed numerous times to try and get clarity on billing periods, to cross-check what I actually owe — but still no clear response. On top of that, I can’t even log into my Rebel Energy account anymore to verify anything for myself.
The lack of communication between Rebel Energy and British Gas is appalling. It is completely unacceptable how customers have been left in the dark and expected to chase down answers themselves, while being charged hundreds of pounds without proper explanation.
All I’ve asked for is a clear breakdown of the billing periods and for Rebel to communicate directly with British Gas to confirm the payments I’ve already made.
Do not bother replying with the usual “If you'd like to resolve this, please contact us” — I ALREADY HAVE. Repeatedly. Still no help.
Sort this out. This is NOT how you treat customers.
Fezile is a very patient listener and forwarded the required information to me instantly. It is a shame that he has to answer queries that are due solely to Rebel's dysfunctional computer system. It went wrong months ago and they still haven't fixed it - appalling.
Although there are often technical issues with their app, their email service and response times are super efficient. Same day response to email and dealing with account updates.
Jaydrin was very helpful and patient and answered all my questions and concerns. I am hoping that I will continue to have positive experiences with Rebel Energy

I’ve had to call up Rebel every single month about my direct debit. Each time, I’m informed it’s been “set up incorrectly” and that’s it’s why it’s not worked. Which makes me think that they do NOT have the capabilities to do so, or, their incapable staff aren’t told how to do so correctly.
I then paid £161 to pay off the account, which they then couldn’t locate. Which meant I was getting bills through for an overdue payment - when I’d already paid.
I was advised not to pay an additional amount until they located the original payment.
Now, because I’ve not been paying direct debit, I have a large amount to pay off, which I’m finding very stressful.
I also asked to receive email communications rather than postal… and again. This hasn’t happened.
The staff are always friendly when dealing with issues but there have just been so many now it’s absolutely outrageous, and really is unacceptable to provide such a terrible service.
Rebel is really giving me headache 🤕!!!! October 19th -December for a 2 bedroom, after entering a contract with a Direct debit of a constant price which is being debited from my account monthly, only to receive an email that the fixed price they made for me is not enough so I’m owing them £601, how???! where is it stated in the contract???? that after your direct debit, I’m to pay for what I’m not aware of, only to be told when I called for clarity that subsequently I’m to be paying £300+ monthly aside the £601.
WTH!!! Who pays £300+ monthly for a 2 bedroom???!!! Just 2adults, what I’m I using the electricity for??!!! When I’m not running a business, hotel or organisation to consume that much!!!!! Really unfair! Rebel as your name implies. I regret ever joining you!!! It appears fraudulent to me. I’m not convinced with your explanation as that is an afterthought which was not clearly stated in the contract!!!!
I found the person who was on the phone very helpful and explained everything to me. This is the first bill I have ever received. He talked me through setting up direct debit then talked me through how much and when I would receive my bill. I feel stress free. It's so easy to put bills aside. I'm glad I contacted Energy. Thank you sir !!!
