He ji9 was very polite and helpful
The person I spoke to on the telephone, PV1, went out of his way till late in the evening to help me decide how to choose my insurance provider. I am a vulnerable person and he was extremely helpful and patient with me. He even phoned me back when I needed more time to decide. In the end he kindly waived my transfer fee to save me any more time and stress and this helped me make a decision to stay with One Call.

I opted for a 'call back' and didn't wait long before ER1(EBONY) called. She was a very polite, helpful and knowledgeable young lady and helped me with different variations of my quote. I was very pleased with the outcome. Thank you Ebony.
Absolutely fantastic customer service from Soraya (SO5), could not be happier. Soraya explained the process fully and even though the call took a while due to the nature of my enquiry it was dealt with brilliantly. Absolutely dreadful. Similar experience to others recently. Had previously paid around £120 for classic vehicle insurance (about £10 p/m). I have never made an insurance claim, nor got any points or convictions. Made the mistake to let it auto-renew at over £60 p/m (£660 p/a). I received no correspondence to explain the ridiculous payment hike. This is clearly a case of attempted theft. When the payment was blocked by me - they are now trying to charge me an extra £15. It is practically impossible to speak with anyone. After waiting a silly amount of time, and had selected the 'about a renewal' which it was, when finally answered I was told, you need to ring the customer services number again, 'general inquiries'. I'm still trying to get hold of somebody. Important Lessons: 1) Don't set to auto-renew 2) Check renewal fee 3) Ideally, find another insurer. ============= UPDATE ============ After finally getting hold of someone on their website 'chat', they would not accept that I had not received a letter or email in advance. But, as I explained, no one in their right mind would let a policy renew at 6x their previous payment - especially when nothing has changed - apart from me and my vehicle getting one year older - oh and yes, an additional year of no claims. It is obvious to everyone, that these brokers try it on, and hope a few (like myself) just let it renew - although in my case, I wasn't aware of the price hike, and foolishly trusted that no premium in the world would suddenly be increased by 'SIX TIMES' for no valid reason whatsoever. I'm sure the broker commission was greater though. So now what's happening? Well first thing, I got insurance immediately with Lancaster, for £112 - which again proves how ridiculousness the price hike is from One Call. And during the 'chat' with OC, I asked them to cancel the policy immediately, because I didn't agree with their extortion. I also offered to pay the 4 weeks I had insurance with them, at the original rate - which would be around £10. But oh no! They want at the very least to charge me at the stupid 'theft' rate, plus an admin cancellation fee... "£126 This is based on your time on risk with your insurance provider at £58.01, the broker fee of £40, and the cancellation fee is £27.99" - although they later agreed to drop the cancellation fee. I still think this is really bad - and can't be viewed any other way, than an attempt to profiteer through questionable tactics. The way things are going, it will be the same as with the Banks PPI, and now the motor sales extra commission fees. And if that does come to light - there could be a lot of brokers going bust. The one thing they all have in common, is greed and the lack of decency. There should be a ruling set, whereby no insurance company or broker, can not auto-renew if the amount is greater than say 15% of the previous years premium - without the explicit consent of the customer. Meanwhile - it looks as if this one is going to the Ombudsman, and if need be, the courts - in which case I shall make sure that there's a lot of publicity through the mainstream media - then maybe we can stop this unethical practice.
BB5 I’m so glad I got Beau Brown on the phone when I called to cancel my insurance renewal. Not only did I not cancel, I was taken through the advantages of my current insurance, presented with a great deal for the coming year and given his email address to avoid a lengthy wait on the telephone. Beau was very patient, entirely professional and hugely helpful.

Following an error over a direct debit, I received a letter of cancellation. However after contacting via live chat, I found agent JC6 more than helpful and the misunderstanding was resolved quickly and without fuss.

I have just signed up and taken out new car ins with One call. I had a query with my policy wording and had to do an online chat. OC3 was great at helping me with my query in a very efficient and professional manner.

Well I've just realised that taking excessive time to progress my claim means I lost opportunity to recover road tax, and as all cars depreciated with time, One Call benefits by reduced payouts They cannot claim to be naive to this problem for their clients.
