I had a wonderful experience throughout the entire process! I felt it was incredibly informative in not only content, but strategy as well. Jill, our course teacher, was wonderful and really encouraged everyone to ask questions and seek guidance to feel confident and prepared for the Exam. The portal was great, especially the practice exams. They were a huge value and as I studied during our self study week, I kept the same study hours focusing on those while hand writing the answer/ explanation of the questions I got wrong down to cement the correct information .
I took the NMLS education course with OnCourse Learning and would not recommend it. The user interface is outdated and difficult to navigate. There’s no live agent available, calls go unanswered, and email responses are automated and unhelpful. The course content is repetitive, and the practice tests don’t explain why answers are correct or incorrect, which limits their usefulness. The biggest issue is the conflicting information about course deadlines. Their site lists both 11:59 p.m. and 6:29 p.m. as cutoff times with no clear explanation. I completed my final class, but because of state requirements for time spent, I can’t finish the course until the system lets me move forward. I’ve tried to get clarity, but haven’t received a real response. If the deadline is 11:59, I can complete the course. If it’s 6:29, I may have to start over entirely. Given the lack of support and the cost of the course, that’s unacceptable. I would strongly recommend looking at other providers.

I had a great experience with last years live zoom class and will not go anywhere else. However, the one thing that is disappointing is the limited amount of classes. This makes it very difficult to participate in your classes. I wish you would have more classes available.

Update on my review: After switching to Chrome from Safari, the crashing issues did go away. I'm only a little bit into the program. The information itself is good, but the technology running the platform is subpar. The window that pops up for the video is constantly crashing (do not mistake this for timing out as I'm well aware of the 6 minute timeout feature), but either completely crashing or freezing, resulting in me having to close the entire Oncourse browser tabs and open them again to pick back up where I left off. However, where it leaves you off is at the beginning of the video that I may have just spent 4 minutes and 30 seconds watching, that I now have to watch again to progress. If this happened once or twice, no big deal. It has now happened about 10 times in the past two days, resulting in me rewatching the same portions of video repeatedly, costing me 40-50 additional minutes, not including the troubleshooting. I feel that by the time I get done with the 20hrs of video training required, I'll have actually spent close to 30hrs actually watching these videos. Happy to re-review this after I have completed the full course.

Initially, I registered for the class on June 3. Before the class was due to start, I received an email informing me that it was overbooked, so I assumed it would be rescheduled. However, I then got another email confirming my registration. Subsequently, I started the class late, but thereafter was canceled, and I had to reschedule for another day. The new date was too far out, and none of this was my fault.I believe I should not incur a fee to reschedule my class, given the numerous errors on the part of Oncourse Learning.

As someone who is brand new to the industry, the experience went quite well. Although the classes almost made no sense because of my lack of knowledge, going home and reviewing that which the professor instructed us to and doing it often, made me begin to really comprehend the course. It also was valuable all that the professor went over and repeated as information that was a must-know. The 3 days were long, but fruitful, full of great help.
