Really pleased with the service we have received from Ocean. Steve was at our house quickly for a valuation following my initial enquiry, and he was so quick at getting the ball rolling. We were online with a couple of days, he told us exactly what to expect and had lots of useful insights about the market and what to expect in the process (this was our first time selling). Mike and Emma did most of the viewings and were great at keeping us in the loop with the feedback from potential buyers. The star of the show has been Melissa however, she has been amazing at keeping momentum and going back and forth between both solicitors and our buyers. Throughout the process we have felt well informed about what stage we are at and what needs to happen next. Melissa has always responded to our calls and emails promptly, she has been super friendly and personable and she’s brilliant at her job! Thank you!!

We were introduced to a delightful property just as it came onto the market which enabled us to view it without too much competition. Ocean agency staff were helpful and held our hand(s) by use of the Lawyers ‘Activity App’ to mark the progress of our intended purchase. We had planned to move into our new home in October’24, which would have been our preferred moving date. Unknown legalities resulted in our delayed move. The unpredictability regarding the legal constraints was quite testing & frustrating and resulted in increased stamp duty costs. Thankfully our landlords were cooperative as we couldn’t be clear on an actual date of our notice to quit our tenancy agreement. We are finally in our beautiful new home and settling into our new surroundings. Thank You

The house was marketed well and sold very quickly. The photos taken highlighted the attributes of the house and garden. The Ocean team were very helpful and informative throughout the whole process.

We sold our property via Ocean and also used their conveyancing service. Whilst we felt that the sale of our property was relatively well organised, resulting in multiple offers, we felt underwhelmed by the conveyancing. We experienced several instances where we were either asked to provide information that wasn't relevant, sent information that wasn't related to the purchase of our new property, and felt that communication was poor. We did consider changing conveyancers, especially as we received better free advice on a particular subject from another company than we got from Ocean, but financially felt it wasn't prudent to do so.

Used Ocean estate agents for renting a flat, very quick and efficient service. Will has been great the whole way through!

It is the second Mortgage that was negociated through Ocean and we are really satisfied with the service received everytime. They balanced the delicate line of sensitivity and professionalism when communicating with me after the loss of my parents and selling their home. The sale took a long time due to buyers changing their minds, and the team remained engaged and genuinely enthusiastic about the property in viewings and helping us find buyers who were genuine and connected to the property. Recently had a very pleasant experience with Ocean. Jemima, our agent was absolutely lovely right from the viewing through to sorting out all the paper work and admin that followed. She was so nice and was very reachable and promptly responsive throughout the entire process. It has left me with a very positive first impression of Ocean and I would choose them again in a heartbeat!

Really, really poor service from Ocean Property Lawyers Filton. During a recent house move I've encountered a complete lack of both urgency and proficiency. I suspect that unfortunately most solicitors will work backwards from a worst case scenario date and show little urgency before this date, but in my case any attempt to chase progress and hurry things along in a polite way seems to be met with a stubbornness that results in quite the opposite. There are many specific examples that I won't go into here where things could have been so much quicker, but the main one that I will mention is that any enquiries that are raised following searches are just worked through by the conveyancer without talking through with the client and explaining what the risk is of each one and letting the client decide which ones to pursue an answer or resolution to. Many, many days were wasted by the conveyancer raising lots of queries and deciding that every one needs an answer until such point the we have proactively on several occasions suggested that some might not actually need looking at as the risk is negligible. This should be the customer's choice. I am so, so frustrated that a house move with virtually zero chain took over 5 months from start to finish. I would happily have paid more for a quicker service but unfortunately in this industry there is no incentive to go quicker and no penalty for providing a poor service. Feedback from Ocean below doesn't really address my frustrations. We simply were not talked through each query nor were we given the option to decide how we wanted to proceed with each query. It was only after several attempts at asking whether we could choose to not have every query addressed that we were able to advise that we were happy to accept the negligible risk. Ocean Estate Agents in Bradley Stoke were great, but my advice would be don't be tempted to take them up on their offer of their own solicitors, instead look at reviews, and choose your own. The fact that estate agent and solicitor are with one company makes no difference. They simply do not work closely together.

Cannot recommend Simon Lack as a mortgage advisor enough. He has been so knowledgeable and friendly and made the process so easy to understand. He continued to be invested and hands on throughout my buying process - offering an opportunity to reduce my rate in line with changes in offers while also being mindful of where in the process we were. I would recommend him to anyone. The Southville sales team were also great - Tom Windaybank and Jenny Green were friendly, supportive and always on hand for any questions I had. I would not hesitate in using Ocean for sales and mortgage advice in future.
