This company have overcharged our estate for a number of years. Now after complaints and tendering we are paying well under half the price. No clarity on what we are actually paying for other than 1 square of grass being cut occasionally.
A number of residents had refused to pay however this impacts on remortgaging. Newton demand full payment of any arrears (even for those who they have entered into payment arrangements with) when it comes to remortgaging.
A horrible company. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not really entirely sure where to start with this company. Don’t even think about being made redundant or becoming sick and expecting any kindness or slight understanding from them.
For a 2 bed flat, my factor Fees are in excess of £600 a quarter. For grass NOT to be cut, mould to be ignored and “painted over” to repair it, £80 PER FLAT lock repair (20 flats in a block, tell me what locksmith is charging £1600 for a lock change?)
Constant double charges on the invoices, and when these are highlighted some excuse about the “wrong dates” are shown. False charges such a “garden maintenance” during the winter period. There is not a Gardner in sight yet we are charged for this…
No care or regard for mental health, financial struggle and if you miss one payment expect that pink letter through the door.
Lost the key for our electrical cupboard then charged the flat for a new one. Charged each individual resident for the councils keyfob to get into our bin sheds and empty our bins.
No contact from property manager despite endless attempts at contact and being offered “call backs”. All they want is their money in the quickest and easiest way possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS WHERE POSSIBLE, and good luck if you’re like me and get stuck with them

We moved to Newtons about 8 years ago. Complete chalk and cheese from our previous factor. Service from day 1 has been great. Friendly staff, always quick to respond and deal with any issues.
Having just moved in to a flat that Newtown manage I had to contact them about an issue. Laura responded very quickly and addressed my concern very quickly. Within a week the problem was resolved. I had to contact her again about a tree outside the building that was needing cut back as the branches were encroaching on the building. Once again Laura got it sorted very quickly. I've experienced property factor managers before but I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised at how attentive Laura was.
I raised an issue with the factors. They updated me within a day of the action they were taking. This resulted in my issue being addressed and resolved within 10 days. I was happy with this result. Newton advised they were more than happy to look into the matter again if the issue occurred again
John has been major help in managing and guiding me through an insurance claim. He has responded to emails and queries promptly and always provided clear and concise answers and made the process less stressful.
