That is not 'NORMAL' behaviour while serving customets girl!.
Op dinsdagmiddag 10 juni had ik een nare ervaring bij de ticketbalie van Lovers Canal Cruises bij Amsterdam Centraal. Ik vroeg op een normale en vriendelijke manier of ik recht had op korting met mijn pas. De medewerker van de klantenservice – die ik op dat moment telefonisch sprak – bevestigde dat dit inderdaad het geval was.
Tot mijn verbazing weigerden de dames bij de kassa dit te accepteren. Sterker nog: ze vielen de medewerker van de klantenservice verbaal aan, terwijl ik het gesprek via de telefoon volgde. Het was ronduit vijandig en ongemakkelijk om als klant tussen twee interne medewerkers te staan die zo met elkaar omgaan.
Ik voelde me totaal niet welkom. Uiteindelijk ben ik zonder tickets vertrokken omdat ik me er ronduit onprettig bij voelde. Dit is niet wat je verwacht van een organisatie die toeristen en bezoekers op een prettige manier wil ontvangen. Een zeer teleurstellende ervaring.
I am so glad we got to see the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam from the water. You get to see and learn about the architecture and the history of the city. Our captain was fun and friendly, making some extra comments on top of the audio guide for a more personal experience.
We pre-booked a 2.00pm Lovers cruise which we intended to board on the canal in front of the Rijks Museum. The season is spring/summer. The temperature was about 20deg. On arrival, we were informed that there was to be no 2.00pm cruise and we would have to wait for the 2.30pm cruise. I asked if a refund could be claimed and was told "No". We boarded the 2.30pm boat and all looked good. It was not a busy day and there were only about 6 other people looking to board. Then we were told to disembark because we were to cruise on another boat with a large group which might spill over to 2 boats. Great (groan), the boat was going to be full.
Anyway, about the cruise itself. The boat was covered with a perspex top and solid framework. This was not too hot under the sun, but our position up the front precluded the possibility of taking any decent photos and limited what you could see. Commentary through supplied ear phones was pretty poor and intermittent and often, during an important piece of information about a particular building or landmark, the captain would come on the PA to point out that feature. Listening to both the captain and the ear phone commentary meant that you basically heard neither. I'm sure the captain meant well but we would have been better off if he stayed quiet. Overall, I feel that this cruise was a waste of 35EUR for 2 of us. I would recommend, if you wish to do a canal cruise, choose an open boat with no cover and enjoy the sun and better view.
Nie wieder!! Reinste Abzocke!! Geld wurde vorab gezahlt und Tour hat nicht stattgefunden! Es werden zu viele Tickets verkauft, so viele Plätze gibt es nicht mal!!
Het was best lastig om tickets te krijgen. Overigens het loket in buurt van Loetje was duidelijk onderbezet. Eerdere boottochten zouden vol zitten, maar toen we op de specifieke locatie waren, was er absoluut niemand! Beetje raar... dan bekruipt toch het gevoel dat je enigszins bespeeld wordt. Daar houd ik niet van.
Uiteindelijk met enige moeite en overtuigingskracht, toch maar voor 21:00 tickets gekocht. Zonder dat er een reden werd gegeven, was het minstens 40 minuten later voordat we eindelijk vertrokken. Een glaasje gluhwein tijdens het wachten, in de kou, had zeker geen kwaad gekund. En wonder boven wonder nu waren er ineens wél rijen... Overigens het aanwijzend personeel krijgt wel een plus, alleen maakte dat helaas niet dat het wachten korter duurde.
De boottocht was wel leuk, maar ik had er meer van verwacht. Het was erg vol, de mensen van 21:15 werden er volgens mij gewoon bijgepropt. De kwaliteit van de audio en headset was matig, het vertelde kwam meerdere keren niet overeen met waar we voorbij voeren (of al geweest of moest nog komen). Voor mijn gevoel waren ook de tussenpozen te lang, dat is toch jammer. Het lijkt mij dat er genoeg te vertellen valt over Amsterdam.
Ik denk dat het zicht ook te beperkt was. Je moest echt je best doen om eea te volgen.
Déçu de la tour et très chère pour ce que c’est nous étions deux 56€ pour 1h10 de bateau dans la vile de la lumière honnêtement ons était déçu il yavais pas beaucoup de lumière se n’est pas du tout se que ont avais vu sur les foto. Honnêtement au temp prendre le tour du bateau en journée qui et à l’a moutier du prix
Tickets 19:30, we arrived 15 minutes in advance, however cruise did not depart until 19:55. We had to wait outside fully exposed to the cold for 30 minutes. Other people had issues with subsequent schedules due to the delay of the cruises. Poorly managed.
sehr teuer für geringes Angebot und vorallem nur beschlagene fenster. Das Lichtfestival ist eine pure enttäuschung sehr wenig und kaum zu erkennen da man direkt vorbei gefahren ist in einem schnellen Tempo. zudem ist es sehr schwierig die sachen auf der rechten seite zu sehen wenn man auf der linken seite sitzt.
In the middle of the tour, two young Dutch adults(possibly teenagers) came and complained to the captain that an Indian couple were playing music at the back. This seemed to continue and at some point the captain said that the people making noise should leave if they won’t comply.
The Indian couple came to the captain and seemed very offended and asked to leave the boat out of respect for the captain even though they were not breaking any rules.
The captain was visibly angry very fast and stopped the boat to let them out without ever giving them a chance to explain themselves. They seemed like reasonable people and should have been heard as well. Instead the captain just took the words of others as fact got angry immediately.
It got worse. The captain started Making racist remarks like “ in this county we respect each other” and “yes, I am a world class racist”.
Many people applauded this but others were also extremely disturbed at the comments that this captain was making. Regardless of whether the Indian couple were right or wrong, they were not given a chance to explain and worse, the captain was making blatantly racist remarks which is unacceptable.
We had not expected such open racism from a company as respected as yours. I hope that this captain at least, will be reminded to be more careful with his words and behavior.
Ik heb mijn kaartje online gekocht met mijn stadspas. De medewerker van Lover canal cruises konden niet mijn kaart scannen. Hij zij dat ik eerst moest naar Loetje. Dan ik wachtte heel lang in de rij toen heb ik liever een wandeling op de stad doen. En ging ik niet met lover canal cruise naar light festival.
