I am a Garden designer M.S.G.L.D and qualified in horticultue. in all the years of gardening and designing I have never received such an appalling quality of plants. Heavily pot bound with crushing roots and limp ropey stems. fed and watered but died. complained and never received a reply Customer services are a disgrace I would advise customers to use Gardening Express and Jacksons Nurseries J Parker are an absolute disgrace
I have placed two orders in the last 3 weeks. Both times the plants/trees were delivered by Evri and took ages to come, the boxes were crushed and damaged and the plants were all but dead. Packaging for the palnts/trees is a bit of paper then the plants thrown in a box all together. After contacting JParkers to complain after the second delivery, I was asked to plant the trees and see what happens. I did not pay for plants in poor condition, I paid for healthy established plants. So honestly if you're shopping for plants, avoid this place, a shame really as they were fantastic when I bought from them in 2022 & 2023.
The plants arrived in very poor health. The hydrangea looked completely dried out with brown leaves. For a fraction of a price more I have seen beautiful blooming specimens in local garden stores. I have ordered from several online retailers and usually the plants were very carefully selected. Unfortunately this was not the case with J Parkers and the support was not very helpful advising me to wait 2 weeks and try to revive the plant. Will avoid this retailer in the future. Review updated 20/6/25 J parkers has provided a full refund for the plants in poor condition.
Ordering was easy. Plants were delivered when I was told they would be. The plants were in excellent condition. I was so pleased with the plants I have ordered a second lot.
Everything on order arrived. Plants quite small but looking better after a good soaking.
Great plants in good shape ready for the garden
Plants came as ordered, but unlike previous orders genuinely don't think it was good value for money. For only £10 more I could have bought the save number as 1 litre plants from the local garden centre. So will try elsewhere next time.
I’ve used J Parkers for quite a while now and they are always good quality plants. They always keep you informed of delivery times etc. I would recommend this company.
I just wish I knew about you sooner the plants and the quality of them are A1 really happy but the courier is far from good .with the care that you pack the plants in the boxes very strong so no damage done to the plants thank God 🙏
the order was quick but ordered multiple baskets which arrived all on different dates and no notification when they were being delivered
J Parker’s always use Evri who take 2 weeks to deliver live plants? Why does a live plant online retailer use such a poor courier? Surely this is the business, get live plants to doorstep quickly?
Best bits: Easy website, decent prices and some great deals! Not every plug plant comes in great condition,almost all do survive though not all.
Kept informed. Packed well, which was a good job as it was delivered on its side dispite saying "This way up" on parcel. All plants healthy.

Bought 2x sets giant dahlia plants (10). 3 different colours. Now growing. One plant came with no tuber attached. 9 plants have now flowered all yellow and one a pale pink. Have grown dahlias for years but these are the most awful examples of giant dahlias. The flower heads do not even match the sales photo in their advert. I can only think that this company has purposely unloaded second rate plants and has had no intention of colour selection. A totally bad experience. I will never again use this company. Beware of them!
Arrived safely well packed. Lovely little plant, just gave it water and sprang to life, thriving well.
This is the first year I’ve used Parker’s and really impressed by the quality of their plants. All arrived well packed and healthy plants at a decent price.
