Excellent customer service
Just want to give a big shoutout to Rich and the other colleague whom worked the Thursday 19th and Saturday 21st at the Huddersfield Branch. Came to pick up a bike which I had ordered and he went through the safety check very well! Rich and the other colleague are a good asset to the team, good customer service and very patient with questions being asked. I came in on Saturday also so they could tweak the bike and set it right with a few minor adjustments. Thankyou!

I made an online order - cash taken - no goods - refund 5 days later
I made an online order - £300 of tools - due to be delivered 4 days later. Cash was taken from my account on the spot Goods did not arrive and no communications came so I I chased up via Halfords online chatbot and then online call centre - he said he would chase up. 26434335 I then receive an email from Sisipho in Customer Service saying they are very sorry - the system screwed my order up. But all is Ok - I can have my cash back in 3-5 days!! No offer to reorder immediately - no offer of compensation. But they wish me a "great rest of your day!" Thanks Halfords - customer delighted! Not.
Absolute robbery at Bourges boulevard Peterborough. Charged £180 to not do an oil change. After trying to talk to an aggressive and elusive Chris he then made James empty my van of oil and re fill in front of me. Which they wouldn’t have done had they already done it. Reported that all my lights were a tick when I initially asked for a rear bulb which had gone. Overfilled my engine with new oil on top of old. Horrible. Will never never never use Halfords again
Not fit for purpose diagnostics service
Not fit for purpose diagnostics service
I took my car in for a diagnostic service and was assured my catalytic converters had failed multiple times. The guy on the phone said he was 100% sure it was my cat and that my sensors were fine and no oil leak etc. This would have set me back £2500, it almost did, thank heavens I got a second opinion from my dealer as I found on the internet that my cat should be fine only having done 52k miles. So that cost me an extra £150. Low and behold my cat was absolutely fine, it was a sensor issue, which was significantly less money to rectify that. So Halfords not only diagnosed the fault incorrectly but they also said they were 100% certain it wasn’t the sensors, which put me out of pocket an extra £140. I complained to customer service wanting a refund for such a lousy service where I got totally wrong advice and lead to me losing even more money. They never got back to me, no apology, no refund, nothing. Horrendous. Please don’t get a diagnostic done at Halford save your time, energy and money and get it done at a reputable place that know what they’re talking about and have professional equipment.

I took my van to National Tyres (Now part of Halfords) for a diagnostic test I booked online as I had the check anti pollution system warning message with the engine management and service lights on. They took 6 hours to do the diagnostic. Went to pick up the van and was told the codes had been cleared so the warning lights were gone. When asked if they could fix the fauts I was told "I don't know, I'm not a diesel mechanic". I asked for a printout of the faults they found and was told they couldn't give me a printout. The guy had a screenshot on his phone so he wrote down a couple of codes on my reciept. No advice whatsoever on how to fix the problem and the warning message and warning lights are back 3 hours later. Now my vans still the same, they don't know how to fix the problem and I'm no further forward. A complete ripoff of £50. What a bunch of cowboys.
