.com or .co.uk it doesn't really matter…

.com or .co.uk it doesn't really matter does it? Google continues to ply their crap. Giving me results for pkr or rupees or hindi despite me being in the uk? Additionally search function operates like stevie wonder in a dark room with the lights turned off. Does google even care about these reviews? Hell no. I've made countless requests and they ignore everything. So happy that chatgpt, copilot and other ai are starting to make an impact. Google got too big for it's boots, hopefully they crumble.

Ty Mawr - Delays and Disappointment

We’ve been regular visitors to Ty Mawr for years and have always enjoyed the warm hospitality and beautiful setting. Unfortunately, our recent visit on Friday was a real letdown. Knowing how popular the place gets on a sunny evening—especially with the garden full of families enjoying the weather—we made sure to book a table for 7pm. On arrival, we were met with a queue stretching out the door. It wasn’t clear whether it was for the bar or to be seated, and only thanks to a helpful fellow customer did we figure out where to go. A lovely member of staff showed us to our table and explained the ordering process: either queue (now even longer) or use the QR code. We chose the latter, but after waiting 20 minutes, the app crashed. We weren’t the only ones having trouble—several nearby tables had the same issue. At that point, we gave up and left, which was a real shame. For a venue that seems to be well-staffed, it felt like an avoidable mess. One small suggestion: consider relocating the bar. It’s not a great first impression to have guests squeezing past a long line just to get through the door. We love Ty Mawr and want it to thrive, but Friday’s experience really missed the mark.

Google photos

OMG, uploaded a photo for Google photos to print and post out. Order received on 1st April. Order despatched on 3rd April to Royal mail for delivery by 48hr tracked. 11th April still no photo and tracking shows Royal mail are expecting it? Impossible to contact Google, can't get passed automation, cheeky to charge £6.00 for postage and it's disappeared into the ether. Not the first time either, unless you're willing to grow a beard whilst waiting for your item I would suggest going to a supermarket and using one of the machines. I will never use Google photos again.

Top marks to the Roslin Hotel

I was with a party of elderly people from Nazeing, in Essex. We were told that we would have a cream tea in Thorpe Bay and we were all looking forward to the day. We were expecting a cream scone and cup of tea. It was a great surprise when the waitress brought in a feast - delicious sandwiches, 2 excellent cream scones each and four - yes four - beautiful small cakes each!! The staff were helpful, and I was surprised when they asked if anyone had any allergies and this was noted and changes made to their menu. We had a long wait for our food, but to be fair, the staff were very busy and the restaurant was full. We all agreed that this was worth 5 stars!!

Google is criminal

Google is criminal. I am being abused by Google's constant unwarrented maliciousness, preventing me fair online use. They are deliberately denying me UK related search results, even though I have put United Kingdom as my region in settings. They are preventing me from reporting their unlawful behaviour to sites admins which they are denying me access to by blocking my progress with obvious fabricated error messages. Google are a threat to the wellbeing of us all and, quite disturbingly, our children who they blatantly abuse by violating numerous of their human rights.
