    Very difficult company to deal with

    Very difficult company to deal with. They come across as some major legal company and behave as if they are Solicitors when they are a back street company trying to take your money. They use threats and basically rip people off like their Sister company Simpler Law. Stay well clear. The reviewer reserves their rights to remain anonymous and will continue to do so. The review is about personal experience and I feel I have the democratic right to share my experience on Trust Pilot.

    Stay clear

    Stay clear, well clear you have been warned. So far a simple will perfectly done through a solicitor has taken these people 3.5 years and still haven’t sorted anything out, keep saying another week or so…! I asked to leave so I could use another solicitor and refused me. Quite simple really, the estate to be split 4 ways that is in the will. The estate is basically a normal house and no money in any banks. Sell the house and split the money equally. Job done. God knows how they sleep at night withholding money from the house sale months ago. Grieving from lost parents doesn’t mean a thing to them it’s put up and shut up.. PLEASE STAY CLEAR Their reply is fancy words meaning the same thing. It’s all bull,, I can smell it for here, I hope you can too…!!!

    My case handler Deborah was fantastic

    My case handler Deborah was fantastic, the service I received from her and the way she kept in contact with me throughout the long process ( due to the probate registry not reviewing my mums case ) was second to none. Deborah chased and pushed for my case to finally be reviewed and the letter of administration to be authorised and processed. As soon as she was given any information she contacted me straight away and kept me informed. Once Deborah received the letter of administration she called me to say she would make sure everything was correct before she sent it via next day delivery. Thank you so much for your hard work, effort and patience Deborah you are fantastic at what you do.

    Obtained letters of administration

    I picked out this company from the internet from the beginning they were knowledgeable and did not miss anything . I used the company to obtain letters of administration they were I friendly quick to respond to calls and emails can’ t say anymore than perfect for me they got everything done first class !!

    Got off to a poor start but improved.

    I was going to give it 3 stars but changed to 4 as most of our problems were in the first few months as I will explain below. When we initially made contact following the death of a relative we were not impressed, everything was new to us and we seemed to have got in contact with a trainee, as he picked up the phone on our first call, it seemed he had our case and getting information on what we needed to do as executers of the will and parents of children who were the beneficiaries of the trust. It was all new to us and we did not get any guidance on what was a difficult process made worse by the fact that there was a joint owner of the property who had been missing for 30 years. However after a few months this person left and our new contact was much more helpful, although after that time we were also more aware of the situation ourselves. Our process has just been completed my only comment would be that it always seemed to take 2 days to reply to an email, but then again people are busy so I can understand that. Also the final settlement amount was less than we had thought, not by much but we were told this included finding the joint owner who had been missing for 30 years. As far as we were aware that was done by the investment company who ended up buying the property from us. As I say it was a small amount in the scheme of things so we left it, just thankful that the whole process was now concluded.

    During one of the most heartbreaking…

    During one of the most heartbreaking and devastating times of my life after the loss of my brother, the last thing your mind is on is completing all the legal processes required. I can not thank all the staff who helped to complete the process in very quick time, particularly Laura Chamberlain,she was incredibly sympathetic, understanding and caring. The emails she sent kept me up to date on the progress of everything but much more than that, enquiring how I was feeling and coping made the world of difference and I could never fully express my gratitude. I would strongly recommend everyone to use the services of this company due, not only to their commitment and excellent service but because of their understanding.

    This company is prehistoric

    My mum died in July. She trusted Fidelis as a legal service to assist my family through this traumatic time. We first become suspicious because of the huge mistakes in the correspondence about fees. Lack of transparency about there role and the process. Very worrying. Documentation errors. Everything took way too long. Mistakes kept happening Wasted 6 months of our time. Very little done. 
Communication appalling. Had to seek legal advice elsewhere. Asked Fidelis to renounce from my mother’s will. They did this in Nov but it took 3 months to do it. This is not a good service. My family and I have incurred a huge amount of costs, loss time and emotional stress due to this delay. They charged us a massive fee of over £2000 for an appalling service and threatened us with debt collectors. We had to offer half the fee upfront in order to receive the renunciation documentation with urgency. It's shocking how bad the communication and customer service is. I am still in disbelief about there denial. Still waiting for a written response in writing to our complaint. It’s suppose to take 28 days. It’s taken over 90, still waiting… still getting threats of debt collector. We paid the fee... even though we felt the service was extremely poor. Unfortunately for whatever reason this company is extremely poor. It’s not what mum signed up for. It’s border line corrupt. My family and I are reasonable, intelligent human beings. We offered up advice on how to improve their service. We signed up to a new solicitor in Dec.and now have probate 2 months after receiving renouncing documents.. The efficiency, communication and courtesy of the new solicitor is absolutely amazing in comparison. We now have probate. It took a few months. Fees transparent and the process super clear. Fidelis have a lot of improvements to do and a long journey ahead for them. We will be going to the ombudsman. No one else should experience what we went through. No one should get threats of a debt collector especially when their complaints are not being replied to as the Fidelis company policy states. - it’s a very ‘small town’ narrow minded and inexperienced way to treat people. The response from Fidelis to this review only illustrates this even more.

    Satisfaction hopefully …

    At this moment in time Fidelis Legal Services are dealing with my equity release it's a long drawn out process starting last September with lots of problems hopefully it's going to come to a conclusion soon
