Ecoplex Energy is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
The company are extremely frustrating to deal with with poor customer service. Calls not going through and not answering emails. Called out to install but short cable and no reinstallation date. I'm at the stage I'm looking to cancel and get deposit back.
Zero customer service when things went wrong, which they did. Instillation delayed and then didn't turn up on day of installation. Once system was installed, it wasn't working, they insisted it was until I paid for an independent electrician to come and confirm that it wasn't working. Unable to get on the phone despite many attempts. They didn't submit the NC6 form for over a month AFTER installation, after I had to remind them. So many emails just ignored, staff were rude when they did respond. Had to pay for a second time for an electrician to come and fix work they said was fine.
Fantastic Service & Products, 2 week turn around from survey and quote now up and running. From the outset the guys were top notch, Professional, knoweldagable, and friendly. We were so happy with the price also Ecoplex don't charge you the €1800 from SEAI they chase all all that up for you, so no chasing the SEAI for your grant. The guys on site we're excellent from Roofers to the Electricians and great communication from head office. All in all a great experience with a price to match.
Had Solar panels with storage battery and Eddy (water heating system) included. Excellent service, workmen were polite and tidied up after themselves also. Had a few teething problems at first, and even though we are in Wexford, someone was sent down as quickly as possible. We are now reaping the awards, happy days. I’d have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Ecoplex installed my solar panels two weeks ago and from start to finish I found them easy to deal with, good on follow up and remained attentive throughout. I liked that the sales person did not.do hard sell tactics, gave the right level of information to make decisions and did what they promised, on time. The lads who came on the day were pleasant and respectful and talked me through placement and decided together how to get around an awkward layout of fuse board etc. No issues with the install and delighted with the price and the results.
AVOID Ecoplex. I wish I had never contacted them. The SEAI inspector has FAILED the solar panel installation that Ecoplex did at my house (installed January 2024, inspected in May), so that blocks me from getting the SEAI grant of €2,100. Ecoplex actually sent out their own “quality control” staff member to pre-inspect the installation before the SEAI inspection, yet it was still failed a few days later, on three separate issues. The SEAI reported this failure to Ecoplex in writing more than 10 days ago but Ecoplex still have not even had the courtesy to contact me to apologise or discuss fixing the issues. I also had an EV charger installed by Ecoplex at the same time as the solar panels, but I have been unable to obtain that grant too, due to Ecoplex’s mistakes. DO NOT PAY THEM IN FULL if you have already signed up with them, until you receive your grant and BER cert. Also make sure you get all the required documentation from them – I still have not even got an operating manual or any warranty paperwork (those documents are SEAI requirements) despite the fact that I have paid them more than €12,000 and have requested these in writing. UNSAFE: I had three different Ecoplex crews work on my house on three different days. Many of them were clearly inexperienced and/or poorly trained, one young guy actually FELL OFF MY ROOF onto the concrete patio, could have been very serious but thankfully he avoided injury. I had to refuse payment and request multiple times to get them to come back to repair unnecessary damage they did to my roof. These careless mistakes are not simply due to “a bad crew”, as the Ecoplex boss told me a few weeks ago. The initial sales guy gave me incorrect information, which I only discovered after the installation. Three different installation crews all made mistakes on different days. Their accounts people have made multiple mistakes and regularly not replied to emails or provided requested documentation. They say they have an “SEAI team” to assist with the grants, yet I have not been able to obtain either grant (i.e. not for solar panels or the EV charger) due to their mistakes. They sent out their “quality control” inspector to check my solar panel installation, but then the SEAI inspector failed it on multiple issues only a few days later. At every stage this company has been an absolute disaster. Read some of the other negative reviews (it’s very easy to filter to 1 and 2 star reviews on TrustPilot), as I am clearly not the only unhappy customer. There are lots of good installers out there that deserve our business - choose another one. What a waste of time and energy this has become. Ecoplex – please let me know (by email, not phone) how you propose to resolve this situation.
Great service and prices are great against their competitors.. also the reviews speak for themselves.. I put it a 16 panel system with battery and seen our bills go way down. Good investment for the future.. Tim
I’m very happy with my solar installation from Ecoplex. Overall, the service was efficient, from the initial survey and on-schedule hassle-free installation to the NC6 submission and BER assessment all organised in a timely manner. The installers and electricians were friendly, proficient and very accommodating with a couple of last minute changes implemented without any fuss. The price was very competitive also. After the install, I received both a courtesy and follow up call to make sure everything was in order. As this is a very recent and trouble free install I can’t comment on aftersales as I haven’t needed to call upon the service. So far, I have no complaints with what has been a very straightforward professional install. I would happily recommend this service.
Very affordable and competitive pricing, great team, everything related to solar installation was explained after installation. Everything was cleaned and vaccummed after installation. Very friendly staff. "HIGHLY RECOMMEND"
I am doing something I never wished to do. I contacted Ecoplex who were most helpful and their agent called to me on time and on the day. He approved my Premises as suitable. When the day came to install, 3 Vans drove in. After looking around the Installers started to work on the roof. Work seemed slow. They were gone soon after, no panels no electrics and without doing the job. I phoned the office on two occasions. The first call, I was told that I would get a call back, which didn't happen so the next day I phoned again. I was given the same reply which again didn't happen. I have since tried to contact both by phone and email but cannot get a reply. They have my deposit and I cannot contact them. I definately cannot recommend this company and have advised SEAI of same.
The sales agent Gerry is so professional .Explain and answer all my questions in a very easy way .And give me very quick response any time I text him which make a huge difference .And the lads who came to install the solar panel are so excellent ,polite and efficient . They even took off their shoes when went upstairs ,I have never seen anyone did that before and they tidy up everything afterwards. So far the solar panel works well .
Ecoplex was quick, efficient and pro-active from the initial contact all the way to post-installation. Everyone I talked to or met was polite and helpful. The work seems to be well-done, with the crew happy to run the cables as requested, and made sure the app connection was established. Prices are also competitive.
