We hide A Renault small SUV for four days in it done approximately 4000 K, so was in good condition. The only annoying factor was a rattle in the drivers door. The service at the counter was good and fast as was the shuttle to the airport The right was okay cheaper than most but like everything these days too expensive. The only other negative comment that I would make is that their shuttle service only goes between their base and the airport. They don’t pick up or drop off at hotels. I know a lot of higher car companies only do that these days but Some will do the hotel pick up and return.
I have been using ECCR every time I travel to Melbourne. The experience was always great on the previous occasions and this time was no exception. Staff were friendly and quick and we got our two cars within 20 minutes. As we chose zero liability the staff did not even go through the cars with us and told us to just drive off. Returning was a breeze also. Just handed the keys to a guy after we parked and all good.
I've never used East Coast Cars before and so it was a gamble. I couldn't have been happier. From the pick up at the aiport to collection of the car, and then drop off and lift back 6 days later, I couldn't rate it highly enough. We ended up with what I think is a better car than I had booked (Mitsubishi ASX instead of a MG ZS). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, with clear communication on how to find the pick up point at the airport and also the drop off procedure. It was a great price for a great service and I will definitely use them again.

The team at Hobart Airport was extremely helpful. There was an issue with my booking (due to the booking agent) and the team went out of their way to help.
We have used ECR several times in the past and have had a good experience. Again we found this occasion to again be well priced but there a couple of hiccups. We booked an SUV and while the couple (with no kids) in front of us were given a large size MG we were given a Hyundai Venue that was not much bigger than a small hatchback. As a family of 5 we couldn’t fit our 5 bags in and requested an upgrade which was sorted after a bit of delay. We were also inadvertently charged $100 which was eventually refunded after 2 weeks and several emails.
Easy booking process, easy pick up and drop off. Great shuttle service provided to and from Adelaide Airport. 0$ excess plan gives ultimate piece of mind. Clean late model SUV provided. Friendly staff. Nothing bad to say. Will use them every time i visit Adelaide for sure. 👍🇦🇺😁
I had previously written a review, and for some reason it has been deleted. We found ECCR quite good, and had decided that they were our go to rental place. However, on principal-we will not be using them again. We recently hired a car over the Christmas period for a few days. Two weeks after returning the car, we find that they had taken money from our account without knowledge or consent. Apparently we had incurred an infringement-and the $72.50 was an administration charge for advising transport of our details. (The money taken left us short for another payment which needed to be made). Apparently, we are quite lucky-as the admin charge had only recently been lowered from $110-funny. Fast forward to nearly 3 weeks after we have returned said car and we still haven't received the infringement...let's hope that we don't get a late payment fee as well. We have been travelling interstate and hiring cars for over 30 years, and have never had an experience such as this-or been dealt with in such a matter of fact, condescending manner. We will never be using this company again. *****I would also like to edit this review to add, I have actually been in contact with fines Victoria this morning. Despite being charged an administration fee 2 weeks ago, and the infringement payment due in 5 business days-ECCR have not provided our driver details to fines Victoria-so this is not even close to being finalised. I feel like this is quite deceptive and misleading, as we were under the impression that the infringement 'was in the mail". *****In relation to the reply from ECCR-they did not even read this review-as at no point did I mention giving a heads up re taking money out of our account-I did however mention this in my previous review, which had been deleted...so this response is merely a copy and paste. Also in regards to my "perceived delay" in regards to ECCR providing our driver details to fines Victoria-that is also a lie-as they have not passed on our details at all. They are not interested in feedback and they are not interested in customer satisfaction.
The staff at East Coast Rental are very professional, can answer all your questions and have you on the road within minutes. Would not use any other hire company in Australia
