Bethan Pike was our property manager…

Bethan Pike was our property manager and has probably been the most caring and attentive person we've had manage our tenancy. When we ever had issues with the property, she was always responsive and helpful and also managed the end of our tenancy/deposit very well, handling a dispute with our landlord. We've had horrendous experiences with estate agents and private landlords in the past so it's a breath of fresh air to know there are great people out there.

Issues with marketing letters

EDIT: I have received a swift resolution to the below issue and so I have amended my review accordingly. Since reaching out to Dexters (which was lovely and helpful) I have since been bombarded by sales post. I asked to be removed from the list and yet the letters keep coming. It's roughly one a fortnight. The latest letter contains inaccurate information about my property being for sale which it is not, with an agent I've never spoken to and at a price its never been listed at. Having already tried to speak directly to them, I'm now feeling ignored and frustrated that I keep having my time wasted.

Terrible experience

The house was handed over to us in disastrous conditions regarding dirt, garbage left by the previous tenants that was never taken away, humidity on the walls, and a bad smell. After several emails completely ignored by the agency, we had to spend our own money to restore the premises to a livable condition (additional professional cleaning and purchase of a dehumidifier). During the rental period, we suffered a water leak that flooded the house. Dexter left us in these conditions for almost a month because, according to them, it was not their responsibility. When we left the house 2 months before the end of the contract out of desperation, the agency, at the end of the rental period, asked to withhold a huge amount from the deposit, accusing us of leaving the house dirty and damaged. Despite the physical and moral damages we suffered, we still cleaned the house before leaving. In conclusion, I highly recommend staying away from such people who, in addition to being unprofessional, unavailable when it comes to their responsibilities, and greedy, only care about the customer when they have to sell, abandoning them immediately after to face problems alone and only making themselves heard to collect payments.

Helpful, diligent and polite

I am a landlord and recently asked Dexters, specifically Neil Plit, if they could or orchestrate activity to meet the new fire door regulations. Neil has been exceptionally accommodating and kept me updated every step of the way. Neil was also very helpful, efficient and empathetic when there was a pipe leak in the last year. Their contractors are always first rate and diligent in their work.

Dexters Hampton - Shocking Service for 7 yrs

Dexters Hampton has been the agent for our lease of a large 5 bedroom home in Hampton for the last 7 years. Apart from a few months when Kim S was responsible, the “service” has been shocking for the entire period - 7 frustrating years. It was so bad, that in desperation we ended up engaging the landlords directly and sourcing service providers ourselves. We terminated the rental on 31 July and have still not received our deposit despite the legal 14 day requirement. As usual, zero communication unless we follow up and chase the staff.
