I have completed my SEATS and TWC courses with CST training and found the tutors brilliant, they built a working environment quickly with the online learning and the courses where informative, helpful and flew by.
HOWEVER when it came to a NVQ L6 in Construction and civil engineering site management it was a completely different Story. I had three assessors over the 10 month period. My first assessor wouldn't turn up to booked meetings, or rescheduled at the last second, his excuse? "Im working with the HS2 and Hinkley Point guys and they are more important than you". My second tutor was ok when he turned up for arranged meetings, but reiterated that he was far to busy to spend the alloted time with me. He asked for Degree level work (with diagrams, charts, long explanations and proof of working out), however didnt have time to mark much before going on the sick (Which CST didnt bother to tell me) and subsiquently left the job. My 3rd assessor was the life saver, although his first words to me were "I'm to busy to spend too long with you". He told me to just answer the questions with a short paragraph which picked up the pace of submission and didn't effect my percentages.
Let me make it clear CST training offer no help with the course the assessors do exactly that with no tuition or help other that how to use Quals to upload the work (brilliant system BTW). You are on your own to research and answer everything.
The assessors are ether over worked or underpaid meaning they have to take on too many students. I ended up getting angry with assessor N0 3 and explaining if he is over worked its down to CST training not me so take it up with them not me. Ive paid a lot of money for the course and deserve the alloted time and assistance.
