Review summary
cruises.com receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
My agent was very knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant, friendly and very thorough. She gave a detailed explanation and encouraged me to open an account to get points and other perks. She is outstanding. I highly recommend her and Cruises.
I initially was booking my cruise on-line on Cruises.com's self service site. I had some questions so I ended up calling. My agent, Rachel, was very helpful and was able to address all of my questions and concerns. She was a delight to talk to and made my booking easy and stress-free.
On a recent Holland America trans Atlantic cruise we were in room 4066 above the BB KING LOUNGE. Avoid this area if you want to get some sleep. No help from the cruise line.
I had the easiest experience, and I found my cruise when we thought our dates were not available anymore for Norwegian but we found our dates with MSC Cruises on Cruises.com. Once you are booked with them, you must go to your cruise ship carrier website and login there with your booking number, and it all transfers. I am so happy to have found them!
I waited 6 months to write a review. Since I paid my initial down payment I have heard ZERO from this company and I have tried to reach out and they don’t have an easy way to contact them plus the telephone line is always busy. To date 7/6/2023 I have heard zero - nothing . I tried to look my reservations up and I don’t have the correct information to look up my account. The two apps I have ( one for the cruise line and one from cruises.com ) do not show that I have paid for reservations. I called the cruise line and they found my reservations but couldn’t tell me WHAT COMPANY I BOOKED WITH. I was even surprised at the snide remarks from the ship line ‘ We have to see if you Really have a reservation’. What the heck? I have a bill for over $2,000.00 but they had Trouble finding my reservations? My idea is - get a company who has travel agents and pay the extra few dollars to make sure you get a decent room that’s not below a dance floor or galley where it’s 24/7 loud. I have since booked and paid in full a couple of other cruises and I am able to email my agent easily. If you want to keep track and control everything then perhaps this is the company for you. My personal needs require a human interaction so I can email and ask questions like ‘ did I prepay gratuities?’ Or when do I owe the rest of the money for this cruise booked a year in advance’ and did I pay for travel insurance?’ This company would have to save me a ton of money in order for me to ever book on line again without the help of a designated agent. It’s been My personal experience that companies like this will fail to remind me of when the total is due then keep the down payment ( this has not happened with Cruise.com because I’m still 6 months out before the cruise is set to sail) I just prefer to have a human to contact . I’m still waiting to hear from cruises.com .
Rep Eric Comp… provided above & beyond EXCEPTIONAL GREAT SERVICE. Moving forward I would like to only speak with him 😊. My past experiences with cruises.com wasn’t all that good. However, after speaking with Eric, I now have regained new trust with this travel company. Eric was very pleasant, helpful, detailed, patient & thorough!
First problem is the extremely long wait times. Like 4 hours on the phone to add my girlfriend to the cruise. Next major problem was they lied. We paid around $6500 for a balcony. This is suite kind of money for a one week Alaska cruise. The room said obstructed berth. I asked what does that mean? They said it's only obstructed when the sofa was folded out as a bed. They lied. There was a big lifeboat right outside our balcony. It wasn't obstructed. It was 50% blocked view. Never use Cruises.com.
Confident in my agent, JJ Davis. Been with her for many years. Always comfortable with our bookings. Pleasant to work with her. She always follow through!
It was very easy to search for a cruise. This was several hundred dollars cheaper than booking directly with Royal Caribbean. Also easy to book online.
