Review summary
cruises.com receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
My agent was very knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant, friendly and very thorough. She gave a detailed explanation and encouraged me to open an account to get points and other perks. She is outstanding. I highly recommend her and Cruises.
I initially was booking my cruise on-line on Cruises.com's self service site. I had some questions so I ended up calling. My agent, Rachel, was very helpful and was able to address all of my questions and concerns. She was a delight to talk to and made my booking easy and stress-free.

Maria spent considerable time to make the detailed trip as desirable as possible. She was courteous and easy to work with. She has followed up on preparations for the trip. She has worked diligently for me in the past.
It was super easy to book the cruise I wanted! But when I ran into a question I couldn’t answer online I called their 800 number and the agent was helpful & knowledgeable! She called the cruise line to ensure that I had a mini fridge for my moms medication & that the suite had 2 beds, etc.
Excellent Customer Service. Alyssa Frame was amazing. Best Customer Service I have had since Covid-19!. One one the best experience we have had in a long time when booking a cruise.
Cruises.com sent an email advertising a cruise fare of $269 for an oceanview cabin on an upcoming RCL cruise. I booked the cabin.
Subsequently, I became aware that the travel agency had padded the taxes and fees by $90 pp to arrive at a fare of $359 pp, the standard rate at the time. (Cruises.com later sent me the RCL invoice to them that showed a fare of $359 with lower taxes). When I called Cruises.com to inquire about this inflated tax amount, they stated this was the NCCF charges everyone has to pay. They stated it was related to port charges, which is untrue. After research, I found that NCCF, stands for Non Commissionable Cruise Fare - the amount of the fare that the travel agency does not get a commission on, nothing to do with the customer!
I also found a written RCL group travel policy which states: All FARES quoted to guests must include Non-Commissionable Cruise Fares(NCCF).
Components of the Fare are not taxes or port fees! Cruises.com played a shell game to pretend they had lower fares! Now I will always check the taxes and fee components vs the cruise lines numbers. I can't believe this is legal to do in this day and age of consumer protections.
Cruises.com charged me $100 to cancel the reservation on top of a $25 reservation fee for a $900 trip.
Deceptive practices! Avoid at all costs!!
