Our property lawyer Claudia dealt with everything quickly and professionally for us during our sale. She kept us up to date at every step. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.
Don't use Did nothing in 2 mths Waste of time! Lucky I got a refund and changed solicitors before losing the house sale
10/10 experience from Harry Mcneill. Brilliant communication, very thorough when explaining things to me (such as searches results/completion statement etc). His colleague, Annie Hutchinson, was also great helping out with the file whilst Harry was on annual leave. Quick with his responses too. Would highly recommend Harry or anyone in his team at this firm!
We bought a house at auction which means you have 56 days to get everything in check. Tom, was really patient, kind and offered guidance even on areas that weren’t his main focus. We had most of our paperwork and documents up together within 2 weeks thanks to Tom for helping us. He called frequently to update and followed up in emails to make sure everything was understood. Anyway, thanks so much for everything!
Oh, where do I even begin? If you're a fan of frustration and endless waiting, then congratulations! You've just stumbled upon the perfect paradise. This place is an absolute haven for those who thrive on the thrill of chasing after solicitors who have seemingly mastered the art of ignoring emails. If you enjoy the exhilarating sensation of your blood pressure rising while you wait Months to get your property paperwork sorted, this is the right firm for you. So if you're looking to waste precious hours of your day reminding them of the work they’re supposed to be doing, by all means, dive right in.
Jamie, my conveyancing Lawyer was effective and efficient. everything got sorted out quickly and the only problems were created by the other side... but he helped sort them out and got the deal over the line.
I can’t fault my property lawyer Emily, as a first time buyer she made sure I was aware of what was happening and why throughout the whole process. She always kept in touch and answered any emails promptly. With a few things happening out of our control she made sure to keep me informed of what was happening and did everything she could to get the sale through. As well as this she was incredibly friendly and put me at ease throughout the process. I would highly recommend.
A terrible mismanaged & unorganised company I'm still trying to close on a property and have been for the last 5 months, the seller and the buyer are both using this companies "services" - we've both been lied too, hung up on, asked to cut corners and still everything moves at a snails pace. The app they give you to complete authentication on, is rubbish, they don't review it - they send emails saying you have active tasks you need to close and there's nothing on there, so they say "Ah just email it me instead". They're lazy & incompetent - i've tried for 3 days to get a call back, but my case handler must be so incredibly busy that they can't spare a paying customer 5 minutes out of their day. To anyone with the foresight to do a bit of research into this company, you're a better person than me, now heed my advice and go elsewhere and give another company your hard earned money, because these ones don't deserve it. And don't believe the 5 star reviews - they're a load of rubbish. They just want all the money and take the path of least resistance. Clueless, utterly clueless.
We had to use this firm for the re mortgage of our property.. Communication was prompt and efficient. Paperwork was in places a little confusing. The worst part was the overselling of services that were not required and we had to get our mortgage consultant involved to stop this happening. Would we use this firm if we had our own choice, probably not, buyer beware. I have the emails as evidence of what happened.
Tom Mclaren-Roberts was our property lawyer throughout our house purchase, he was very polite and courteous and responded to our questions and queries extremely quickly, it really put us both at ease. Tom was very informative and knowledgeable and we felt we were in very safe hands with him. He explained each step of the process to us both which made it feel very less daunting, we couldn’t recommend Tom enough as our property lawyer, we’ve had a 5 star experience. Thank you very much!
Excellent service from Reece and Kelly; emails always answered promptly and in full. I'd have no issue using again or recommending to friends and family.
If you want a company to get in touch with you and work at an average pace, avoid these. I mean how hard does it need to be for people to get hold of you and do their job? Apparently very hard The 1 star reviews they have growing and scattered across the web are too kind to the awful, unprofessional, useless nature of their company. I can only hope the managing director, Mr Jamie Paul Cosson has not seen these and is unaware at how they manage their work. As for the 5 star reviews? I can’t imagine the possibility that these are genuine I’d trust an office of feral monkeys to produce a better output than these. Sitting on work for weeks, need constant chasing just to progress a smidge. There is no pride in their work, seems they are too busy having bake sales or socials than actual work. They definitely don’t produce anything on a Friday that’s for sure. You have a deadline as their work affects your future? I wouldn’t trust these to help with anything. If I could give 0 stars, I would. If anyone reading this has been in direct miserably because of these unprofessional solicitors, id write to Mr Cosson and raise enquiries with the SRA and legal ombudsman. They are dishonest, slow and outrageously unprofessional Avoid avoid avoid
Throughout the process of purchasing our first home we couldn't have asked for more helpful and responsive solicitors, our case manger Tara gave us all the necessary information and kept us up to date with every stage. We managed to close within a couple of months which is amazing! Would definitely recommend.
I would like to say a big Thankyou to Freya, she was on the ball with everything, couldn’t fault her. If you had any questions you could ring her anytime. Auction property completed in the 56 days. Guided me through every step of the way, always available at hand, would definitely recommended.
Victoria was outstanding helping us with our conveyancing for our first property. We had lots of questions and needed a lot of guidance, nothing was too much trouble for Victoria!! Thank you much for you kindness, patience and completing our first purchase !
I was very surprised to read all the negative reviews on here. My experience of remortgaging (through Skipton) has been nothing but smooth, speedy and efficient. Idalia Adamczewska was my case handler and she communicated clearly at all times. The whole process from application to completion was done in six weeks and that included the Christmas break.
They were quick and efficient acting for our mortgages.
As a vendor the service given to my buyer was so bad that the sale never completed.
If your estate agent recommends you use conveyancing direct, please for your own wellbeing decline there very unkind offer! They are a awful company to deal with, I've had to constantly chase for information, I have been lied to, they attempted to charge me for services they didn't do (over £800 worth), a simple no chain, new build, shared ownership took nearly 19 weeks to complete. Oh, and they make you sign up to an online portal that is never updated then they have the cheek to charge you for it. The 5 star reviews on trust pilot seem very lacking in detail so i wouldn't trust that they are genuine experiences. Don't make the same mistake as me as a first time buyer thinking the estate agents recommendation was the best choice, you have been warned

Many reviewers praise the exceptional support provided by solicitors like Tom Mclaren-Roberts and Sara Costas, noting their responsiveness and clear communication throughout the conveyancing process. Positive experiences often emphasize timely updates and a smooth transaction, particularly for first-time buyers. However, a substantial number of complaints point to poor communication and unprofessional behavior from certain staff members, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. Customers express disappointment with slow service and a lack of updates, which detracts from the overall experience. While some clients have had positive interactions, the negative reviews suggest that potential customers should proceed with caution.
