Cluey learning is convenient, and my daughter says her tutor is very helpful and explains until she understands. For working parents having the convenience of extra tutoring is key and Cluey learning ticks those boxes.

Depends… caution

Quality and benefit very much depends on the tutor. They swap out tutors rather than give the option of skipping. Maths was a nightmare. Tutor kept changing. Hard to speak to a person, all on the website or emails. Especially an issue if your child has special needs as changes limit the chance to establish any rapport.

Cluey doesn't talk with its tutors

I had a dyslexic student as my first session with cluey. The learning materials were totally inappropriate. I could see that immediately but was instructed by a receptionist at cluey to use those materials. The parent intervened to complain that the learning materials were inappropriate. I agreed. I have tried and tried to discuss this with cluey program developers but can only get FAQ Ticky boxes and irrelevant no-reply messages. Gave up trying to communicate with a relevant person at cluey and have resigned.

Like others I would rate 0 stars, avoid like the plauge

Like others I would rate 0 stars. Avoid like the plauge We asked for 2 discounted trial sessions over the phone but when we looked online Cluey had booked an additional 9 weekly classes following the trial. There was no cancellation option on the website, you can only 'pause'. Then we try to call we only get automated service with no option to speak to anyone. A tutor was assigned but a different tutor was waiting for us on the first session without warning. To be fair my son advised she was good but we were told that we could view the session back via video as it was recorded but the website stated we didn't even attend the session! However I would rate the sales and marketing departments as 5*+

I would rate zero stars if I could.

I would rate zero stars if I could. The BIGGEST RIP OFF ever. No way to remove your credit card details from their system. Very difficult to speak to an actual person. No local NZ tutors available. Classes scheduled at unsuitable times (after discussion specifically as to when my child was available) and but still charged when I had to cancel. Just another money making scam IMO with very limited customer service. Oh, until they cannot charge your card, then they're hounding you non stop and cancelling lessons.

Do not fall for their marketing promises - they do not deliver

Do not engage with Cluey. My son's first English tutorial and the tutor was late. Couldn’t have looked and sounded less interested. Yawned consistently for the brief time we kept her awake. She was sitting on her bed. Completely unprofessional and wouldn’t engage the most motivated child! They have charged me for 5 sessions when we've only done 3. There is no easy way to call and speak to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible service/ cancelled tutor…

Terrible service/ cancelled tutor session day before and impossible to get hold of anyone for assistance . Quick to take money in advance so be very careful what you sign up for. They could not find year 11 advanced maths tutor.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Tutor doesnt join session and no notification provided, no credit, keep taking money. Multiple calls (minimum wait time 40 minutes), emails and portal enquiries to get a refund and no reply. Do jot recommend.

Never Again

Never Again! Do not use this service Tutor failed to turn up to Zoom session. Rebooked for the following week. Tutor again failed to turn up. Was charged twice and requested a refund with no response. 03/02/2023 Called no answer at Cluey 08/02/2023 Called Spoke to Hetvi who acknowledged the cancellation and said Nicole would call back in a few minutes. Never received a return call 09/02/2023 09.30am Called and spoke to Hetvi again. I explained that I never received a return call. Nicole apparently away today and was promised that Courtney now handling the case would call back within the hour. Still waiting for a return call from Courtney. Called again and spoke to Jerby who then transferred to another number. On hold waiting again in queue. I really don't need a call, just acknowledge the cancelation in writing and acknowledge and transact the refund for services that you have not provided!! Terrible service. Never Never Never again

Dishonest Company - very quick to make unauthorised deduction from your credit card.

Very disappointment with the customer service and company policy. This company is dishonest. I contacted Cluey to have trial lesson for my daughter, which the lady on the phone said that I would have to pay for. This I agreed to. However, after the trial lesson, Cluey did not contact me but instead immediately deducted money from my credit card for more lessons. I had contacted Cluey the following morning after trial lesson to inform Cluey that my daughter did not wish to continue with Cluey. I was assured that my money would be refunded but no news after 10 days. Be careful with agreeing to trial classes.

Disorganization and mismanaging

Unfortunately, we did not have any good experience with this organisation. According to their scheduled program, my kid waited his tutor but no one attended the session. It was the 4th time that we experience such issue with cluey and that was really a nasty experience both for kid and parents because every family, especially on weekends, nearly cancel all social activities according their kid's education program. In addition, there is not anyone as a responsible to be contacted at these times. The fee of each course has been charged 4-5 days before the session and it takes long time to be able to recieve your refunding. In summary, We cancelled all enrolments and are not happy to continue with them.
