Citizensadvice Reviews

When my employer was treating me unfairly, Citizens Advice helped me understand my rights and supported me through the grievance process. The advisor even helped me draft letters and prepare for meetings. The whole process took several appointments but they were consistent and supportive throughout.

Good advice about family law matters but felt like I needed more time to discuss everything properly. The advisor did provide useful written information to take away though. Would recommend booking multiple sessions if you have complex issues.

Tried calling multiple times but kept getting cut off or put on hold for ages. When I finally got through, the advice was basic stuff I could have found online. Maybe better to visit in person.

Cannot praise this service enough. I was drowning in debt and considering bankruptcy when I contacted them. The advisor spent hours going through my finances and helped me set up payment plans with all my creditors. Six months later, I'm back on track. This service is a lifeline for people in crisis.

Really knowledgeable staff who helped me create a realistic budget and negotiate with creditors. The wait time was about 3 weeks for an appointment but it was worth it.

The advisor was knowledgeable about consumer law and helped me understand my options with a faulty purchase. However, they seemed quite busy and I felt like I was being hurried along. The advice was solid but the service felt a bit impersonal.

Helped me navigate the complex benefits system when I became disabled. The advisor was patient and explained everything clearly. Only downside was having to repeat my story to different people.

Had to wait nearly a month for an appointment which was frustrating when dealing with urgent housing issues. However, once I got to speak with an advisor, they were thorough and professional. They provided detailed written advice and followed up with additional resources. The quality of service makes up for the delays.

The advisor knew their stuff and gave good practical advice about employment rights. Felt a bit rushed though - only had 45 minutes and there was a lot to cover. Still grateful for the free service.

The advisors at Citizens Advice were absolutely brilliant when I was facing eviction. They helped me understand my rights and even assisted with writing letters to my landlord. The service is completely free which is amazing, though you do need to be patient as they're often very busy. Couldn't have gotten through it without them.

Brilliant service for immigration queries. The advisor was up-to-date with current laws and helped me understand the application process. Very professional and thorough.

Absolutely incredible service when I was facing homelessness. Not only did they help me understand my housing rights, but they also connected me with local support services and helped me appeal a council decision. The advisor went above and beyond - even made phone calls on my behalf. This service genuinely changes lives.
