Currently studying the first year of the Psychotherapy diploma, which is Hypnotherapy and it’s a really in depth course. Glynis is a great tutor and very helpful.

I am still training at the moment, on the Hypnotherapy course, but I am enjoying it immensely. Everything has been so straightforward and well organised, from my application, interview and whilst on the course. Would definitely recommend Chrysalis and this course has been so informative and so enjoyable.

Enjoying the course material and what we cover a lot. The sessions are very engaging and our tutor has the right balance of theoretical knowledge vs practical application. Our group is very supportive which makes the whole learning journey a lot easier.

I am 3 modules in to a Hypnotherapy & Counselling course in Edinburgh. Our first module was a very positive in-class experience; our second module was supposed to be another face to face class but ended up having to be online instead because of bad weather; and our third online module had to be cancelled altogether at the last possible minute due to storm Eowyn and our tutor having no electricity. As a class we were only informed about cancellation via a WhatsApp group set up by students for study purposes - no official message came through to any of us. As this storm was predicted many days ago, I think Chrysalis really should have had contingency measures in place. Their communication with us as students has been nil regarding this matter. Very disappointing after such a positive start...

Didn’t really learn much.

I really enjoyed the training but I sort of see why Chrysalis gets mixed reviews. There was a clarity of purpose missing. The training was good but missed being perfect because it wasn't clear if it was offering you insight into whether or not this type of counselling was for you OR teaching you how to do it. It did what I needed it to do, showed me I could specialise in the area, I wasn't getting into something I wouldn't enjoy or have any ability at. However, the afternoon was disappointing as it tried to teach us a technique without the preparation we needed to achieve it. I really liked the trainer and had faith in his abilities and qualifications

Very disappointed with the Introduction To Working With Couples course. There was almost no practical content and by the end, I had no more idea of how to work with couples than I had at the beginning. Literally, a complete waste of money.

Class way too big, or need two teachers. Very little time to cover subject matter. Not enough teacher supervision of skills practice to gain valuable feedback. Very much a teach yourself at home course. Wouldn't recommend

Chrysalis hypnotherapy courses are run by professionals working in the area being taught so they really understand the subject matter. Chrysalis have created a safe environment in the classroom where students are encouraged to share, learn and grow where everyone is respected and nurtured. I had a change in circumstances during the course and chrysalis were amazing in supporting me and allowing me to flex attendance to complete the course. The admin support was consistently excellent and I’d recommend them to anybody considering studying with them.

At the end of my journey with Chrysalis the student support has been fantastic in making sure I have everything that was needed and helping, the only thing that I believe it might still need improvement is the connection between student support and training l/marking staff and system. Apart from that it was really good education journey tht I would recommend with Chrysalis.

I have started my second year so I thought it was time to review my first year. It was amazing and so interesting and my tutor Jas was amazing too. Made it so interesting and fun to learn it.

Jaswinder was the best tutor I could have asked for for this course. It was a journey of learning and also self discovery and I would recommend her to anyone. For the lessons we had good feedback and a good understanding of reflective practise. Thank you

Student support have been great, Katie is very helpful and supportive to me throughout my counselling course journey and today was no different when I needed her help

My experience with the chrysalis counselling counselling course has been very positive. I have benefited immensely from my studies and have developed skills and confidence to work as counsellor. Katie Knight has been very helpful and professional in her work with me, always polite and supportive and giving me the right information every time. This has made my studies a very valuable experience. My tutor Steve Thomas has also been a great support. Steve has answered questions on counselling and given guidance on procedures that have been informative. His feedback has helped me understand my development and contributed greatly to my learning.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the first year study at Chrysalis. The mix of blended learning styles has been very helpful in embedding the knowledge and the structure of the course has flowed organically. As I submit my final assignments everything we have learned has finally come together and I feel competent and ready to start professional hypnotherapy practice. A special mention to Tania in Student Support and Mark our tutor for all the help and support throughout the year. Like many things in life you get out what you put in but I would definitely recommend Chrysalis Courses to others looking to go into this field.

Course contents was very good! It’s given me all the information I need to become an hypnotherapist. The assignments was the right balance to fit around my full time job too! Tanya in student support was incredibly helpful with all questions I had answered straight away! 🙂
