Having class once a month worked perfectly with my busy life and Chrysalis was just perfect for my needs. Both the my teacher and student support were very helpful and supportive on this journey.

Chrysilas was very helpful throughout the course. I would highly recommend these to anyone. After my break, I would like to finish my children's counselling
Really thorough and excellent teaching with exploration of both personal and professional boundaries and what the appropriate and ethical behaviour of a person in a helping profession should look like. Far exceeded my expectations.
I just wanted to share some positive feedback about my time as a Chrysalis student. I am a current student with Chrysalis, I am in year 2 of 3, and could not recommend this course highly enough. Due to a location change, I moved from the London to the Hitchin group. Leigh Grigson, the teacher from the Hitchin group, is superb, organised, thorough and knowledgeable. I also had a fantastic learning experience in my first year with Cila Hintz with the London group, she was knowledgeable, fun, charismatic and very practical in terms of the reality of setting up a business. The Chrysalis course works very well around my busy lifestyle, I'm able to keep working full time and balance my studies which is just what I need. This course provides a solid knowledge base and offers a flexible launchpad for anyone who wants a career as a therapist.
Teacher knew her stuff - and the CPD course was value for money.
Chrysalis are very attentive to students generally and I have nothing but high regard for student support. The classes are handled well, the online parts are excellent and easy to follow and I do feel I have learned a lot in my first year. I have found the quality of teaching generally very good.
The lecturer and the other students made the course. Moodle was a little complicated with units and components. I would have found it easier if it was just numbered unit one and the components were 1.1,1.2 etc. But overall a good course and worth the money
I am writing a review for Lily who works for the support team at Chrysalis , Lily went above and beyond when helping me to complete some work that I had missed on my final essays, which could of been very stressful however she kept in touch and I handed the correct work in and I have now completed, thank you Lily.
Great communication for me from someone called Katie who has been very helpful. I have never had to wait long for a rely to any enquiry.
I found the course challenging in a positive way. The classroom session were well presented and the coursework was inspired. Tania in South support is excellent. She was such a great help.
Chrysalis counselling courses seem to attract a lot of criticism but in my experience of 2 years doing their counselling diploma after 2 years with a local college I’ve found them to be organised professional and supportive. The teaching has been great, as have the admin. Compared to my college courses everything was super clear and organised. There is less classroom time and you are required to do a lot of self study but this worked for me so I could keep working while studying and we still have to do a lot of research, assignments and 100 hours placement. It seems a lot of the bad press comes from people who dont actually have any recent experience of Chrysalis. I would thoroughly recommend this course.
The Chrysalis Student Northern support team are extremely professional, efficient and student friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and on this occasion Leanne who resolved my issue instantly. Many thanks for taking the stress out of the situation and providing me more much valued study time. You guys are simply the best ever!!
Giving support when I needed it to finish my course. I only had to phone for reassurance and support and with there help have just completed my course. Thankyou to the North student support team and all the help and support
Very hard to navigate your website, your forms of contact don' work Ive spent hours trying to get a simple answer about courses and feel deflated and tired before even applying. communication is vital to a prospective customer and that is not a good sign of how your company works.
I’m currently studying the final year of the Counselling and Psychotherapy Diploma with Chrysalis. My tutor at Stratford upon Avon has been fabulous. Having completed the first module in Birmingham, I have to say that I would not want any other tutor. In fact, originally I was due to attend the Northamptonshire venue but the tutor was unprofessional and somewhat rude in her approach. Quite frustratingly the online system is ordered in such a way that, unless you complete the assignments in accordance with that order, it does not allow you to access the notes and learning material. For example, we had the option to complete the three assignments in an order of our choosing. I chose to do the essay first but I could not access the learning material on pluralism as I had not yet completed and submitted the second assignment. Given that pluralism formed a major part of the essay, this made it challenging. It would be better to prescribe the order in which assignments should be completed, or more preferably, not have learning material held to ransom. Further, I find the set up of the room somewhat uncomfortable as there are no tables. Writing on a notebook which is balanced on one’s legs is extremely difficult and uncomfortable, so much so, that I’m now experiencing back pain. I’ve asked for tables to be provided in a written request ten days ago, however there’s been no acknowledgement or response. The venue is a hotel but we are now expected to eat lunch in the same room in which we study. This means we will not get a break from the “classroom” or the people within it. Which, for those who are neurodivergent, is problematic as there’s no separation. It would be helpful if the dining facilities could be used. The positives for me include a highly responsive and professional tutor, who is experienced and personable. I also appreciate the parking and the cleanliness of the venue. The negatives include a lack of tables, the inability to use the dining facilities or an alternative room and having my request for tables not acknowledged after ten days, and the notes being held to ransom.
I have had nothing but prompt positive support from student support services. They have been sympathetic, patient and have i have always been left feeling 100% reassured after reaching out. They answer the phone in reasonable time and answer emails promptly and always resolved any issues i raised . Really kind, supportive, friendly service overall.
Thoroughly enjoying the experience. Transferred from a level 5 course elsewhere and this beats it hands down I have a great tutor, i can study at my own pace which helps as i have a disability and the assignments are rigorous with developmental feedback I have an amazing placement Highly recommended if you are organised and not a procrastinator
I am writing as a student of Chrysalis, having just completed my Year 3 Chrysalis Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice (year 3), just awaiting my results for the final case study. I would like to highlight and couple of members of the team in South Student Support. Tania has been absolutely superb since joining Chrysalis Courses, always available to give helpful and professional advice on the various issues I’ve ’thrown’ at her over the past year or so, resulting in a huge and positive change in student support since she arrived. Although I’ve had less interaction with Lilly, during the preparation of my final assignment, the SSP, Lilly was extremely helpful as I faced a slightly complicated issue, the circumstances of my case study being somewhat different to most of the members of my class. Lilly gave me reassuring support, confirming that my planned approach, fully discussed with her, would be completely acceptable. There were further questions around the submission of my SSP which she also helped me with. Finally, Katie in North Student support has always endeavoured to answer any questions if South Student support are busy on the phone and passed on messages if she was unable to help directly. I’ve had a very positive experience of the support offered by Student Support and prefer to pass my comments on here rather than in the open forum of Trustpilot. I hope this is acceptable. It is extraordinary that this part of my journey to becoming a counsellor is almost over and I have Chrysalis to thank for getting me this far. This year’s tutor, Rhianan Lowes, has been an inspirational teacher. Kind regards Ros Lovell
I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for the Student Support team at Chrysalis. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff has been incredibly responsive, helpful, and supportive throughout the process. They have provided clear guidance and answered all my questions promptly, making me feel valued and well-informed.
I'm now in my final year with Chrysalis and have really enjoyed studying with them, the online platform to access your assignments and information has been really valuable and easy to use. Our tutor support (Leigh) has been fantastic, very informative and I really enjoy the skills practice we do in our little groups. The support team have always been very quick to answer any emails and helpful regarding placements. I really like that this is monthly, a mix of online and in person study sessions which works well with family/work commitments and makes it manageable. I would absolutely recommend this course if you're looking to study to qualify as a counsellor/psychotherapist

Chrysalis Courses receives a generally positive reception, with many reviewers praising the supportive tutors and the flexibility of the course structure. Customers appreciate the high-quality content and the helpfulness of the student support team, which has made balancing studies with personal commitments easier. However, some critical feedback highlights issues with tutor consistency and communication, leading to confusion among students. A number of individuals express dissatisfaction with the placement support, particularly in Northern Ireland, feeling that it does not justify the financial investment. While many find the courses enriching and recommend the program, others caution potential students about misleading information and management practices. Overall, Chrysalis Courses is viewed positively, though there are notable areas for improvement.
