Learning as an adult has been a really enjoyable experience here. Experienced course tutors help the learning to be even more accessible. At a very stressful time for me personally, the Student Support team were not only professional in their care and response time, but they have been very kind and thoughtful in their help.

The course itself was good and the tutor good. Unfortunately, the courses I thought I was enrolling on have turned out not be the qualifications I thought they were. At the end of my training, I discovered I wasn't enrolled on the course I applied and paid for (Advanced Level 5 Diploma), but was put on an older course (Advanced Level 4) so I had to pay more money and study longer to upgrade my qualification. 2 years on, I have found out the Chrysalis "Level 5" qualification, according to the SCoPEd framework, still only counts as a Level 4 qualification and to get the "real" Level 5 (which they are now calling the "extended Level 5"), which I thought I had paid for all along, I now need to pay another £4000 and study for another year, to "upgrade" to it. Other courses are more expensive, but that's because you get the proper Level 5 qualification. So, in order to move on to post graduate studies, I now either have to re-train with someone else, or give more money to these people and take another year out of my life to get the actual Level 5 Diploma I wanted in the first place. It was all good until I went to begin Level 6 and realised what my qualification was actual good for. I have tried so many times to speak to Chrysalis about this, but can't get past the course liaison team. Despite many times of asking they won't give me any contact details from anyone at a management level to make sense of it all. Trying to find a placement for year 3 was very difficult because organisations were concerned about the quality of the Chrysalis training and wouldn't take me on. I now understand why. Please be careful.

Helpful and prompt responses to a few email queries I've had

I had to miss a class, so needed to attend another venue to catch up. I contacted Chrysalis South Support as I was struggling to find a venue, and the next day had a comprehensive email back taking me through it step by step. Emailed them back with my choice and an hour later had a reply confirming date, time and venue. Really good experience, great support.

I study with Chrysalis for several years and I am grateful about the way Chrysalis offers access for completing the studies. Without Chrysalis Iwould have not been a counselor today. As a single mum, working a lot and having many life commitments, Chrysalis was ideal option of study for me . The flexibility and in the same time the professionalism and standards of the course, enabled me to to study in my own experiential style but also gave me the framework for endless CPDs and enriched my professional curiosity and knowledge at my own pace. I experienced a great deal of grief and life challenges during the study and Chrysalis was understanding and supportive, motivating me in the same time to transform my experience in therapeutic skills. I completed a online zoom course Working With Sleep Issues with Reuben, the course was explained though out, learnt a lot, I enjoyed the class, great rapport with everyone. Would recommend.

The tutors have been fantastic, providing invaluable learning through their experience as Counsellors and a great support. The new site with all our course information, notes, video tutorials and a host of other information is really easy to navigate and incredibly helpful.

The Student Support team have been fantastic at answering any questions I have and they are very supportive and friendly. Always there when you need them.

Overall the lady who i was dealing with at support was very helpful. However, the responses are few and far between and I had to email again after waiting several hours for recognition of my email. I imagine this is more likely to do with staff shortages than the individual. She was sensitive and compassionate in her emails regarding my circumstances and over a few emails we come to a solution which is now in process.
