Requesting replacement by email questions answered
I received great service on a Saturday. I was trying to get a copy of a lost registration card. The request process was simple. I had a question after receiving an email. I wanted to know about the wait time for the replacement email copy, so I called the 916 number and received a call back within 5 minutes.

I don't feel the $29.00 Service fee is acceptable, DMV lines are way too long.. Paying online saves the state money and time, but it costs the citizens too much money. Why is there a $10.47 Convenience Fee? Isn't $29.00 enough????

It is ridiculous to charge a service fee and a convenience fee. I'm sure it is much less man hours for you when someone pays by online service than it is if someone sends the renewal by check. Just another way to squeeze a little more money out of the consumer. service fee, convenience fee.....just two ways of saying the same thing.
