Car Giant are in the business of selling cars but the customer care is very very limited. They focus on selling a car, a warranty, a coating to protect your vehicle. I spent over £17000 but when I went to collect the car, they couldn’t provide the V5 slip. They couldn’t access the scan they had of it because they don’t have documentation on a shared drive. They let me book a Sunday appointment and then told me they couldn’t access paperwork because the admin team weren’t in until Monday. They expected me to illegally drive an untaxed car to a post office on a Sunday to sort out their mistake. When I refused and remonstrated, their worker was very rude. Luckily, there was an extremely thoughtful young woman called Chi who came and got things sorted out, but the collections team were very poor. No smile or friendly greeting on arrival, didn’t even bother, after a 2.5 hour wait to pick up my car, to tell me where it was. William who did the test drive on my previous visit was extremely charming and helpful. The man who actually sold me the car was focused on selling me as much as possible and failed to say anything at all about V5. When I first went to look at cars, it was 34degrees and I was sent to completely the wrong place to look for the car I was interested in. Overall I would say it is a good place to familiarise yourself with various cars and models but some staff need training and be sure you know exactly what needs to happen because they can’t be relied upon to look after you.
