British Gas Engineer came to service our boiler. Was very helpful. He called before arriving which meant we didn’t need to stay in all day. Very clean and tidy. Excellent service.

set BW legal on me to chase a debt that I do not owe....stress beyond belief, impossible to talk to. I provide date stamped meter reading photos, and they are ignored

I couldn’t get on to the website as l couldn’t get passed the I’m not a robot screen, so had to phone. After several option questions l was put through to an agent who l found it very hard to understand. After quite some time l was cut off. I had to phone again and after several minutes l was put through to an agent. She answered my query but l will have to call again to sort out my tariff
I was coerced into leaving Britsh Gas for Octopus Energy by Money Supermarket review of getting a cheaper deal. I was with Octopus for few months before realsing that Octopus is all glitters, little gold. I am now back with British Gas, happier than ever. Good deals, clear accounting and trained staffs who know their stuff. I couldn't ask for more.
It cannot be overstated how poor British Gas. Their customer service could not be worse... it really is mind boggling just how frustrating and incompetent it is. It has taken me over 10 months to try and resolve a really simple issue which is still unresolved. When I last posted a review on here the team reached out to me to apologise and asked me to DM them on X to get it resolved. I did that and had some initial contact but then British Gas reverted to type and just stopped responding to any communication and simply don't address or resolve the issue. They have now stopped responding on X as well. I really cannot believe how bad they are. I am DESPERATE to switch energy provider but they have also put a block on me doing so so I feel like I'm trapped in an absolute nightmare with them. I would never EVER use British Gas out of choice. Avoid or switch while you can!!!
I was very pleased with the way messages regarding the installation of my smart meter were given, and the service of installing it was excellent, he messaged me before attending, explained everything and his work was impressive, thank you for your service.
I recently had both meters upgraded ,the engineer arrived at the scheduled time and provided a fast, efficient and friendly service ,which included instruction on how to use the smart meters.
All worked well came on day of apppintment, serviced boiler with no fuss, and kept us updated on service result.
I have a maintenance contract with British Gas, and an engineer recently visited to service our gas boiler and central heating system. It was a good visit, he was very professional and caring. I couldn't fault anything about his visit. Plus it was easy to arrange for his visit using the BG app.
Engineer was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately he was only able to change the electric meter so I suppose our gas meter will be changed at a later date. However, out monitor is still not working.
British Gas is really good and being covered by them gives you a sense of well-being.
They know what they are doing. Always in my experience on time and very polite.

Always pleasant: On the vrey few occassions I have had a need to contact BG the staff members were alway polite, professoional and pleasant. The days with money off during certain hours is brilliant for me, being both disabled and a pensioner every penny saved helps, I would recommend them to any one who asked me.
Friendly approach, listened to the concern and did what was needed and he explained what was done. Great service!

Had my annual service today. Engineer phoned before to let me know when he would arrive. He was polite friendly and helpful. Answered any questions and explained what he had done . Was quick and efficient and thorough. even left me a paper tick list so I could see what work was carried out. Happy with service.
