Bogs Footwear Reviews

Bought a pair of bog's wellington boots, they looked good and sturdy but after using them once a day for three months the right hand seam on the right boot started to split , turns out paying for a name doesn't guarantee quality

I purchased a pair of Boggs Welles. A month out of warranty and they leak at the seam, £80 and just a years medium seasonal use. I would not recommend. I sent pictures to the company and they advise wear snd tear. I only wore them walking the dog one winter season. Poor value and the company felt wear and tear. One expensive season. I’d had Dunlop for 15 years not a leak ever.

My wife bought me my first pair of Boggs waterproof boots as I would never spend $80 on rubber boots but I have worn them several times in slush and snow and I love them. Easy on and off and no leaks, keeps my feet nice and dry.

I LOVE these boots! I bought the woman's classic high boots in black and had them for 8 years before they started to leak. They are great for busy moms who are usually trying to put boots on with one hand. The large hand grips allow easy on and off. I will be buying these again. Great for winter into fall and incredibly waterproof and warm!

I bought my first pair of Bogs from a local outdoor store on clearance. Unfortunately, after my first outing I realized that one of the boots had a malfunction and was leaking, despite the waterproof gaurantee. The store doesn't accept return clearance items, so I made a claim through the Bogs website. Filing the claim was super easy, and in just a few days they confirmed that they are sending me a new pair. Although I was bummed that the boots leaked, I'm excited to get a fresh pair and try them out, seeing as they fit great and I love the style!

I bought bogs boots for my kids for years but honestly they don't last. They say '4 season boots' but they wont LAST 4 seasons let alone more than one cycle. The sole wears smooth, the inside lining tears.. kind of garbage to be honest Seriously in the snow maybe they are ok the first year but the next year they are smooth and slippery as hell. Most of them leak after one season. One time they were on sale so I got a few pairs. By the time I went to use one pair I discovered the boots were two different sizes. Not marked sizes..physical sizes. They didn't replace them they just offered me credit for them returned. since they were on sale and prices had risen I couldn't replace them for the same price. you're better off buying cheap walmart boots and replacing them every season.

Purchased a pair of mid-calf rose garden pattern gum boots. Have only worn them a handful of times but noticed that they are leaking at the seam between the boot and the sole.

I absolutely love how my big boots fit, especially within the first couple of weeks. Then, the heel starts wearing out at the seam, once the seams wear through, the padding quickly erodes and wears out my socks. I took my first pair of boots back to the store where I bought them. They were gracious and exchanged for a new pair, one time only. Now, my new pair has worn through the seams creating a divot and is wearing out all my new socks at the heel. I tried some rubber boots that had no seams at the heel, the fabric liner was molded (or glued) directly to the form of the boot they didn’t wear my socks out but cracked and leaked so that was not the answer to the problem either. This time of year is very wet and I often have to wade through tall grass and standing water to get anywhere beyond my house. I need adequate protection to get around outside…this is why I bought my first pair of Bogs. Now the second pair has failed me too. I am sad and a bit upset. I’m on a fixed income and can’t buy a new pair of boots 2 to 3 times a year during the wet seasons. I am trying to think of a way that I can repair the holes in the heels without causing further complications but haven’t implemented any of my ideas yet. I thought about propping the boots with the heel down and toes up and putting flex seal in the heel hole and covering them with some sort of fabric barrier that would allow my foot to slide in and out without putting such a strain on my spendy wool socks. I’m hoping you might be able to give me some ideas for repair or replacement but I don’t have a lot of confidence in the integrity of the material.

I purchased $150 Bogs boots in March of 2021 for spring and fall outdoor walking, and one of the boots already shows a significant defect. There is a big hole on the side of one of the boots, making water go through, thereby completely defeating the purpose of the boots being waterproof (I purchased them to be able to walk in rainy conditions especially). I thought I was paying for good, long-lasting quality when purchasing these boots, but I guess I was wrong. I will never purchase Bogs products again, nor will I ever recommend their products to friends and family.
