I had a very disappointing experience at the BLS International office in Montreal while applying for a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), despite having a fully completed application. On my first visit, my application was rejected for reasons that were frankly unreasonable. Although the form was correctly filled out, I was told to include "non-mandatory" information or risk the application getting stuck. This contradicts the form’s own guidelines. They also refused my hydro electricity utility bill as an address proof because it wasn’t “5–6 pages long”, which is nowhere mentioned as a requirement. Instead, they suggested I pay around $200 for their form-filling service—something that felt more like a sales push than actual assistance.   On my second visit, I came as a walk-in, which the official BLS website says is allowed. However, the staff at the desk openly stated multiple times, “We don’t care about walk-ins,” and made it clear that they would only attend to those with appointments. I waited over three hours, asking politely multiple times for them to just take a quick look at my application, which was 100% complete. When they finally looked at it, it took all of five minutes to process—confirming that my request could easily have been accommodated earlier. Most frustratingly, nowhere on the website does it mention that walk-ins will be treated with lower priority or only “if there’s time.” This needs to be clearly stated so people aren’t misled or left waiting for hours in hope of basic service.   The staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to listen—even when spoken to respectfully. The disconnect between what the BLS website claims and how the Montreal staff operate is frustrating and unprofessional.

I had a really nice experience from the BLS office. They are really welcoming and polite to the counters. Especially the staff who helped me her name is kinjal.. she handle everything in a professional way and guided me through the proper procedure. Excellent experience.

Tuve que desplazarme a Madrid desde Valencia para realizar el trámite del visado ya que no me daba suficiente confianza mandar mi pasaporte por internet, ni estaba suficiente bien explicado. Me surgieron un par de problemas pero la chica que me atendió me ayudó muy bien, fue muy amable

Excellent service. Everyone was reqlly nice. The security guard understood my dilemma and gave me premium lounge upgrade so that i could finish my work that day itself. And then Soniya scanned my documents and found an error. She very calmy helped me fill it out again so that i dont have to come another day. I would recommend this to everyone. Ask for Soniya

Service at the embassy is very poor and slow There should be online system for this as it is very time consuming and inconvenient for us to travel here and wait as we have to get back to work I suggest you take action on this for providing good service to us . 2 counters are empty out of 4 at the embassy for verification.
