It was a good service. The only thing I was wondering the drivers did not help with luggage going on or off the van,as other companies do assist with that. I was wondering is it a new OHS rule.

Easy to pick up and return
We were told that we needed to purchase insurance to remove excess when booking the car. Then when were picking up our car from Bargain Car Rentals office, this insurance was not recognised and we had to insure again. In effect we paid for it twice!!
Easy pick up and drop off, friendly and knowledgeable staff
We had to wait for some time for the shuttle at the airport with the heavy rain. Made it back to Bargain rentals, wet and muddy. So busy! Had to wait for awhile for counter service. Meanwhile no undercover area for people or their cases. Was happy with the LDV, 7 seater van we hired. Good to drive but gps only compatible with I Phone. Given a Phone holder! Pressure in back left hand tyre only 17. Good on fuel. On return to Bargain Rentals we got there when it opened at 7am so shuttle was there and off to the airport. Overall vehicle was roomy and easy to drive. Thank you!

Easy process however we only received car with 1/2 tank of fuel. We put a full tank in when returned however have not yet been reimbursed

Process was quick and easy. but a warning would have been helpful about third party insurance that can easily be confused with your excess waiver.
Bargain car rental Absolutely never again. Not until you delve deep into the instructions do you realise this requires a SHUTTLE service from the airport, you can’t pick it up at the airport. Once I realised this after talking to someone friendly at another car rental (as you’re unable to talk to anyone from Bargain Car rental after 6pm and my flight arrived 6:30) I made it to the shuttle pickup just as the driver was pulling away, who definitely saw me waving my arms frantically and decided to keep driving. They have a tracking app to see how far the drivers are, and it showed 3 cars, one that was moving (away) and two that were stationary, idk if they were stuck in a ditch or having a nap, but why would they be showing if they’re not operating? Is it to remind me of the terrible decision I made choosing this company? After the moving car then stopped moving on the app, I had to call again because it seems the driver thought pulling away without acknowledging me was a successful pickup, and didn’t return. So all up I had to wait about 30 minutes in freezing weather just to pick up my car, while dealing with the most stressful organising systems to make sure I arrived before they closed at 8pm. Welcome to Bargain Car rentals! Prepare to have your day ruined. I would argue they’re not a bargain as they are as cheap as they are terrible. Only if every other rental car company was unavailable would I book with them again, as they are still mildly preferable to walking
