Banning Dental Group

In August 2023, I paid over £10,000 upfront to Banning Dental Group for dental implants. What followed has been an incredibly distressing and unresolved ordeal. Since then, I've had to make over 20 visits, travelling to London almost every other week for treatment. Throughout this period, I've experienced multiple denture breakages, received crowns that didn't match my natural teeth's shade, and most critically, my implants have fallen out on three separate occasions just days after implantation. Each time, this led to severe infections and immense pain. Despite raising numerous complaints, these critical issues remain unresolved. I've faced continuous delays and have consistently had to chase for replies. To date, I have yet to receive any viable solution. I'm now left with unfinished treatment, wobbly implants, and ongoing stress and anxiety. This distress stems not only from the poor clinical results but also from the complete lack of communication and accountability from Banning Dental Group. It's abundantly clear that patient care and well-being are not a priority for them. If Banning Dental Group is reading this, I urge you to take accountability, respond immediately, and finally resolve this unacceptable situation. I would not wish this experience on anyone.

I first walked into Banning Dental Lewisham in 2022 with a long to-do list: four implants (bone grafts and sinus lifts included), three crowns, a handful of fillings, and the usual hygienist visits. Nearly three years on, the work is finished and I'm happy with how everything feels and looks. The reception team kept the logistics painless—always greeting me by name, finding slots that worked around my job, and calmly reshuffling things when life got in the way. The treatment-plan coordinators laid out every option and cost and made it super easy. On the clinical side, I'm happy with all the work, and any hiccups were sorted quickly. What really stands out is how smoothly the whole practice works together—everyone is on the same page, so each visit feels joined-up and unrushed. Major dental work is never cheap or effortless, but Banning’s clear pricing, honest advice, and genuine kindness meant I never felt lost in the process. If you need anything from a routine check-up to complex surgery and want to be treated like a person rather than a timeslot, give them a call. Huge thanks to the entire Lewisham team for the excellent care.

Blackfriars branch staff are amazing. On entering, all the time you are greeded with a lovely smile from Maria and made so comfortable and treated like a V.I.P. The dentist. Doo Roo Ihm also takes care in the work he does on you and the time too, not rushing you out of the door,also ensuring all the details & information you required is given to you. Also not forgetting all the other staff there too. You are all amazing and bring back the smile to many of us. Once again a massive Thank You to you all. 100% service with a smile.

Always so caring, professional, friendly, kind, polite. Always making sure everything is perfect as can be. Maria Ivan is an absolute diamond, and she's a credit to Banning Dental. I want to say a massive thank you to her and also to Ruslan Mansurov, who was my hygienist and did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. I haven't experienced the level of professionalism and quality from anywhere before. I am still undergoing Invisalign treatment with Dr Shirin Ali, and she has been amazing! I had the most amazing experience at the Blackfriars branch today. Andrea did my chemical peel and made it so comfortable. I had a personal issue and both Andrea and Kiah were AMAZING! Constant cancellations, incorrect bookings, no communication from reception. Dr is never aware of the progress of my treatment and always in rush to get me out of the door. The worst service I have ever received and also the most money I have ever spent on a treatment, truly shocked by this company.

I’ve never had a particularly positive experience with dentists in the past, which has always led me to feel quite distrustful and a bit negligent when it came to dental care. Since I started coming to Banning in Blackfriars, however, I immediately felt a strong sense of professionalism, safety, and (most of all) genuine care for the patient. Dr. Roo Ihm is an incredibly kind person who truly knows how to make you feel at ease, to the point of almost forgetting the anxiety that can come with a dental appointment. Clear, efficient, and above all, deeply human, which is what impressed me the most. Similarly, Dr. Ruslan (whom I saw previously for a dental cleaning) showed just as much attention, care, and professionalism. Big shoutout to the reception team as well, Maria is wonderfully kind, helpful, and understanding. All in all, this has absolutely been the best experience I’ve ever had with a dental clinic so far. Despite the many treatments I’ll need to go through in the coming months, I feel genuinely calm and reassured knowing I’ll be doing them in such a supportive and welcoming environment.
