I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

Excellent boat and crew. Anja was brilliant . At Mitenberg waste of time with German family The rest very good
Two week cruise but when we got near Passau the Danube was too high to continue so.. Ship was stagnant for three days. Options were put in place. We were given two free excursions. Travelled from Staubling to Vienna by coach. Stopped at Melk Abbey on way. Stayed at nice hotel in Vienna two nights. We all 160 of us went to a restaurant , it was a deep cellar and the food was awful. Most of us left .Then went by coach to Budapest . We had another arranged lunch in another cellar restaurant and stayed in nice hotel one night. On last evening we enjoyed a complimentary river cruise with dinner, very nice. Eventhough all these emergency arrangements were put in place quickly, our tour director was excellent. We wont be going on another river cruise as a large chunk was stressful and hard work. Like the majority of the 160 passengers we are in our seventies. Packing and unpacking a few times wasnt on my agenda.
I loved the cabin, the food, the wine, the cruise manager (Gunther) and the staff generally. I liked that guided tours were included and thorough. I loved the 'champagne' at breakfast. I don't remember having a single criticism - apart from the wait for a cabin on arrival, when it would have been good to be told what refreshments were available. I would love to go with TravelMarvel again if the reduced price of this cruise could be matched.
Wonderful cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam on AmaReina. The cruise director, Carina, was excellent - managing to organize us on daily trips with minimum of fuss. The food was great, nice ambience on board ship with the staff. The guides were consistently good and we learnt much about European history while having a good holiday.
Perfect itinerary, cruising from Budapest to Amsterdam along the Danube, Maine and Rhine rivers. Lovely scenery and mostly good excursions (included in price). Food and service mostly good although the soups were always watery. Highlights were the classical concert in a palace in Vienna; the passage down the Rhine Valley; taking the chair lift to the Germania monument in Rudesheim. Lowlights were being given too much free time at the end of excursions, when many of us wanted to return to the ship; lack of flexibility on flights - we were booked on a KLM flight to Amsterdam leaving Manchester at 5.55am which meant getting up at 2.45am. We then had to wait 3 and a half hours for our connection to Budapest. There was a direct Ryanair flight leaving at 10am (giving me an extra 4 hours in bed!) but I was told by the agent (ROL) that APT only deal with the major airlines and that I would have to pay for it myself. I am a regular cruiser and many companies offer 2 deals - one with and one without travel. This would put me off booking with APT again. One final irritant was on the last excursion, which was a scenic tour of Amsterdam on a canal boat. Half of the seats faced backwards and all the forward ones were taken by the time I boarded. The guide was at the front of the boat giving commentary about sites in front of her which meant constantly having to swivel round. It was all fairly cramped, very uncomfortable and completely ruined the excursion. I couldn't help but notice that most of the other boats doing tours had seats which all faced forward. It was a shame the cruise ended on this note because the other excursions were very good (apart from the excessive free time). Finally, I must mention the cruise director Korana who was excellent.
Excellent staff, professional, helpful and with a smile. Korana, Cruise Director was exceptional. Always available, she went the extra mile for everyone and had huge local knowledge. Signature trips were exceptional and the itinerary of visits was excellent. Food, ports visited were excellent. Cabin very small.
The whole package was very good, from the staff to the excursions and marvellous catering. The evening entertainment was excellent. The Mozart concert, all the palaces and beautiful towns in Bavaria were wonderful. Only downside for us was the airport trip, too far to travel. A nearer airport would have been more appropriate.
