Organisation & service was first class on both ships (Vega & Polaris).
I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

EXCELLENT ACCOMODATION, CRUISE DIRECTOR SUPER. EXCELLENT WALKING TOUR GUIDES, AND VERY USEFUL APPARATUS WITH EAR PHONES. ENJOYED THE USE OF VERY NICE BICYCLES. PLENTY OF ROOM ON DECK, NO SCAMBLING FOR LOUNGERS OR SEATS.
An excellent cruise. The rep was outstanding and helpful as were the crew. The excursions were well planned and well organised with knowledgeable and personable guides. They all spoke excellent English too.
We have been travelling the world for the past 30 years and this is the worst holiday ever. Rooms were cramped, dressing table mirror smoked glass and no light so useless. Nowhere to dry wet costumes or washed smalls. Sun deck closed most of the time even when docked and it being very hot. Tours even for people with walking difficulties were too strenuous. Left our rucksack on the tour bus and it was stolen even though we were told it was safe to do so. No help from bus company courier or boat. Left without cards or money. Arrived home ill both with COVID. Many people on the boat were ill and one lady had taken a test kit tested positive but told to keep quiet. On the plus side evening entertainment and staff both in dining room bars and cabin were brilliant.
It was a great trip a bit full on could have had more time in some place
The Annamaria ship crew and Tour Director were excellent and went over and above to make this a very enjoyable cruise. Ship was excellent as was the food and drink. All round and very pleasurable experience.
Really good experience from beginning to end. The ship was superb and new. The crew were professional and discreet. Cabins were comfortable with good size beds. I liked the balcony effect of the window which could be opened down to waist height. Food was really excellent. Cruise Director was friendly and ensured that all the on shore trips ran smoothly. Lovely friendly ambience throughout. Would definitely recommend.
Overall, our river cruise experience on the Polaris by APT was enjoyable, despite a change in our booking from the Vega to the Polaris. Our initial concerns about this change proved to be unfounded, as the Polaris turned out to be a modern, contemporary, and comfortable vessel equipped with all the necessary luxuries for a pleasant cruise. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, including the excursions. The special mention regarding the lady who took us to Saltsburg who broke out in Sound of Music songs at various stages. She was absolutely brilliant. Please convey. We were a group of 6, and we never had trouble finding seating in both the lounge and restaurant, which was a relief. However, a notable disappointment during the cruise was related to the vegetarian meals we had requested during the booking process. Initially, the meals provided were highly unsatisfactory, to say the least—on the first evening, we were served a dry bun, one piece of carrot, and cucumber, hardly a fulfilling meal. Unfortunately, the issue persisted into the second evening, with little improvement. It was only on the third day, after voicing our concerns to the Cruise Director and the Restaurant Manager, that we felt our complaints were taken seriously. Regrettably, we felt as if we were being passed around without any effective resolution to our dietary needs. Ultimately, we had to insist on speaking directly with the Head Chef to express our disappointment with the meals. The head chef was understanding and accommodating, ensuring that for the remainder of the cruise, we were provided with well-prepared and varied vegetarian dishes. One major concern we had was that it seemed like the restaurant manager/head chef was not adequately informed about our dietary requirements, which led to the initial unsatisfactory meals. We hope that this communication gap can be addressed in the future to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable dining experience for all guests, especially those with specific dietary preferences or restrictions. Despite this initial hiccup, we appreciated the efforts made by the head chef to rectify the situation and were able to enjoy the rest of the cruise with satisfactory meals. The Polaris itself was a delightful vessel, and we look forward to potentially cruising with APT again in the future, hoping that any future dietary concerns will be promptly and effectively addressed.
Great organisation of the staff and excellent shore excursions.
The whole experience was first class. The boat (Amastella), was very luxurious, as were the cabins. The staff on the boat went above & beyond & nothing was too much trouble-they even seemed to enjoy looking after the guests! From the choice of excursions, the air conditioned coaches, the knowledge of the guides was expertly delivered. The food provided on-board was fabulous, as were the drinks. The attention to detail was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday company to anyone.
