Excellent Service

I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.

Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

Enjoyable cruise on a well-appointed ship

Ship was as described on the web and met our expectations. Accommodation and all public areas were clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and professional. Cabin was spotless and well appointed and didn’t lack storage or hanging space (20 clothes hangers provided). Food was excellent and had a choice for vegetarians. Food was provided at various times and locations throughout the day as well as at set meal times (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Breakfast was buffet service and set you up well for the rest of the day - dinner was waiter service. Entertainment was not what we would normally go for but it was as expected and was very entertaining nonetheless. The cruise director (Korana) was a whirlwind of professionalism and efficiency. Tours were well organised and catered for a range of abilities. Tour to Bratislava was particularly memorable because of the tour guide (Ludmilla) who kept everyone well entertained. Despite the cruise being post pandemic it appeared that there was less focus on cross contamination than we had previously observed on a similar pre-pandemic cruise. On the previous cruise, the crew would not take boarding cards directly from passengers without ensuring hand sanitiser had been used and passengers appeared to use hand sanitiser more often, especially when entering the restaurant, whereas on this cruise we observed many passengers ignoring sanitiser stations despite people in front of them using them. There was a lot of coughing on-board and on the tours and, not surprisingly, all four of our party contracted Covid, which certainly put a dampener on the holiday. Our only real criticism was the transfer from ship to airport – a minibus taxi was provided for six passengers but the driving left a lot to be desired and fell well short of what had previously been delivered on the tours.

First class service throughout and a great experience.

This was our first River cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service provided by APT was superb throughout, including the chauffeur pick-up to and from home and the airport. The staff on board the vessel provided an excellent service, the food was great and it was all exceptionally well organised, greatly helped by our onboard cruise director. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the whole vessel was smart and well maintained. If we had a criticism, it would be that much of the river cruising was done overnight, and the days, if you chose to partake in the excursions, were sometimes long and tiring. But that was our choice to visit everywhere, and at least we could come home for a rest! All-in-all we would thoroughly recommend an APT river cruise.

Great holiday

The cruise and tours at the different location were very well organised. Meals were of a very good standard. Rooms were of a high standard and were clean and well maintained. Service was of a high standard provided by friendly staff.

Porto cruise. My feeling is that it was not upto…Porto cruise

My feeling is that it was not upto their usual standards. Food was self service and mediocre . Staff all friendly and helpful. Trips out ok. Believe new ship in 2024.

APT Amsterdam to Budapest

First River Cruise. Brilliant! Great food, & drink, friendly & efficient staff, interesting trips with knowledgeable guides. Buses to sights always on time & thoughtful provision of “easy walker”tours for the less able travellers. Tour director “Gunter” always accessible.

Danube cruise

Danube cruise - visits to Budapest and Vienna were very enjoyable. Tour guide in Vienna was excellent, as was the Mozart Strauss concert. The length of the tour in Regensburg could have been a bit shorter. The cabin on the ship was great and the food was very good. The only flaw was the timing of the return flight which resulted in a long wait at Munich Airport before we could check in and seats were not available.

This was our first river cruise

This was our first river cruise, and 14 days was too long. Most seem to be 7 days.. APT were excellent with care taken over boarding, good food, and excursions. There were 64 locks and a lot of low bridges which meant that the sun deck was closed off a lot of the time. This was annoying as the weather was so good.
