Constant problems with no water can't replace the pipes but can pay their shareholders

Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.

Changed Account billing name. Smooth as a melted butter. The lovely women on the other side of the phone was extremely helpful and polite. Always done an excellent service as far as I can remember. If only some other companies do service like Anglian Water. We don’t need some nonchalant customer service, the world is a difficult place to live in already. Just be nice like the lovely ladies at Anglian Water 🥰
Had a water leak for over a year on our side of meter. We did have to deal with it which I understand as it’s on our property and belongs to us. We found and sorted leak. Anglian water sorted a £3000 plus water bill into a £1200 pay back to us. Which paid for the repair and more. This wasn’t expected. The staff involved with sorting were super friendly and helpful and easy to get through on their phone line. Which as we all know dealing with these big companies most of the time is like putting pins in your eyes. Your doing it right guys you should perhaps set up a management course for all the other badly run utility companies. Pleasure to deal with.
TCP taste and burning mouth since having a new smart meter. Warning, do not let them change your meter. They are refusing to do anything about it as they have tested the water, my mouth is burning after drinking it. The staff in the so called customer services are like silly little kids.
We have lived in our current house for around 18 months. Approximately every 6 to 8 weeks, the drains block and the toilet backs up and we sometimes have sewage overflowing from the drain. Every member of Anglia water that has come out and put cameras down the drains has said there is a defect with the drain and they do report it back but nothing gets done to rectify the issue. Cobi came out today. He’s a very nice polite professional young man who has been before and flushed the drains for us. I can’t fault any of the staff who have come out to rectify the problem. I also like the fact you can report the issue online quickly and easily with the app. There have been a couple of occasions though where no one is able to come out for a few days and when you only have one toilet that won’t flush that does make life a little bit stressful. On a couple of occasions, I have had to get down the drain myself and remove waste before it started overflowing into my garden. I just wish that after about 10 callouts in a year and a half that they could see that this problem needs to be resolved.
Do not pay by Direct Debit. They increase your payment by ridiculous amounts because they may or may not increase if inflation increases. Only pay or receipt of bill. No reason to do otherwise. Greedy, profit-focused scammers. Renationalise the water industry. Why is this for profit?
Spam, spam and more spam despite unsubscribing from all emails. I'd change supplier if I could but they have a monopoly.
Leak from the middle of the road Waterloo road Ipswich.Anglian water were advised of this many months ago, recently put out cones preventing parking for several days. Advised of working on 25th November then removed cones now 3 December leak continues. They advise they have to close the road and imply council involvement partialy why. Water taste unpleasant chlourine taste. We have been Doulton filtering water from the roof for years for consumption. They installed a meter close to the house four meters from the footpath without advising us years ago, we have elected not to have metered water charge and given the experience of others will not be opting for that. In the last year gas leaks in the road to the front and rear of our property have leaked have an estimated life of 75 years they were installed in1886! The woeful lack of investment in the infrastructure of this country has been very evident.
Had a nasty surprise when a hidden leak raised our water usage astronomically, leading to a huge monthly direct debit. Once we found and fixed the leak, Christine on AW's customer service team, was very helpful and reassuring, quickly calculating our true usage and returning our direct debit to a leak-free amount. Thank you Christine!
A great experience with Anglian Water recently… they contacted me a few weeks ago to inform me that they thought I had a small leak of approximately 4litres an hour (we are on a smart meter for water and it obviously ‘sends’ readings at least hourly which are then monitored)… I followed their advice to try to find any signs of a leakage within our home and ultimately had to conclude that the leak was either in the service pipe (from the meter to the stopcock inside the building) or from the smart meter itself) .. I reported these findings to them and immediately I was reassured that any leaks they were responsible for would be reimbursed and that there would be a physical inspection by an engineer. There was a short delay of a few days and a further delay following inspection for the meter to be dug up and inspected still further. The team that arrived were exemplary and had the leak found very quickly (between the meter and my boundary) so it was repaired free of charge to myself. I would recommend the engineers and the people who dealt with me throughout this worrying period … thank you… I would also recommend that if anyone has an opportunity to have a smart water meter fitted they should do so as they are able to spot signs of any problem at a very early stage.
I had a billing issue and was highly satisfied with its resolution and the customer service provided by a couple of staff I corresponded with. A very positive experience.
It is so rare for a utility company to excel at customer service these days (with a few notable exceptions). Absolutely 5 star customer service from Megan today. Friendly, helpful, prompt and efficient. Cannot thank her enough!
You are greedy bast... taking shower at work, buying water because your water disgusting impossible to drink its stink have horrible taste and hard , and still rising prices apparently improve better quality!!!! Of what your pockets
Great speedy service. Very professional but also friendly.
Was able to set up our water account very easy through a chat via WhatsApp and Megan was very helpful and was able to set this up quickly for us
Woefully incompetent with non existent and arrogant customer service
Awful company. Taking local allotments to further enhance their network. Perhaps they should focus on stopping leaks in the creeping infrastructure before doing any other work.
People, avoid water meters, get penalised for having an extra bath through the week. Can only shower for 10 minutes apparently. My water usage is high, even though I am not in the house for 9 hrs a day. Scandal!
Always fantastic service and extremely personable. Their online login is really straight forward and easy to use
Can’t stand this company. How can they think it is ok to dump raw sewage in the sea. Why don’t they have enough capacity in their network to deal with it rather than just dump it. And they never give a great reason why it’s normally there was a storm Other than this I have never had a great experience dealing with the company their service agents can be rude and not helpful at all. You can wait ages to speak to someone and live forever on hold
