Started with anchor in 2017..My account and wages were garnished multiple times..I was down to the last few months of one account and for whatever reason just stopped making payment..the account was taking off..I could never get same answer or close yo by the employees..Finally they said they can do nothing for me after over 4 years of BS..I took a chance with them and got burned..I have a an attorney that no longer practices law with them I can’t get no answers cuz it shows he still represents me though he’s no longer practicing..thank you for the worse 4 years of my life!!!
I have been with anchor since 2017. I recently finished my program 2 years after they had initially said my accounts would be settled. Once my final account was settled, I had about $3800 left over in my account. I was always told this money would be given back. However, I come to find out anchor had taken this money as a ‘service fee’ for the exact amount, to the penny, of my leftover funds. I have called and emailed the only response is “it’s service fee”. I spoke with supervisor Mark who was rude and unhelpful. Let’s not forget that any money saved by their services which was admittedly a lot, I have to pay thousands in taxes for. Also don’t forget that my credit score was decimated for years. From my standpoint this is criminal. Buyer beware!!!! All I want is my left over money!!
I was enrolled in their program initially for 48 months. Tack on another 18 months to that and the fact my last draft was supposed to be February 15 yet my checking account was drafted again 2 weeks later. I had to pull my last credit card from the program because I worked with the creditor directly and negotiated a better settlement offer than Anchor Law Firm. Their representatives are liars. I just spoke with James who indicated that unfortunately an extra draft was necessary to make the final payment when in fact it was confirmed when I agreed to the settlement offer my last draft would be February 15 and I would receive a refund of approximately $200 from my savings program account. In looking at my savings account program account it reflects I'm getting a $22 refund. This settlement program is a rip off. Please never do business with Anchor Law Firm. Besides every representative having a different line every time I called, I was also sued for a credit card that was registered in the program. I sent every piece of paper I received from the court but nothing was ever done and my paycheck was garnished weekly for 13 weeks. Anchor Law Firm says they're sorry and here's a 17% refund because the card was removed from the program. Not that Anchor Law Firm ever cared but during the 5-1/2 years, my credit rating was terrible (and still is) and I lost my home. I wish I recorded how many hours of my life were spent calling Anchor Law Firm because they won't call you back. If you write to them they will send you an email directing you to call them. Once they gave me the contact information for my Anchor Law Firm assigned attorney. When I called I was instructed by voicemail to leave a message or text my message. Never spoke with the attorney directly and he mentioned nothing had reached him regarding my account and he referred me back to the customer service telephone number.

Like many of the poor reviews on here, my story is the same. I actually have an offer, submitted it to Anchor. I got their canned response that one of their litigators will look at it and get back to me. After two weeks of waiting I reach out again and received another promise of contact in 48 hours. Guess what folks. My offer is going to expire and I INSTRUCTED Anchor to pay it! That is one of their promises to you, you are in control. Lies! Also, their partner Global Client Solutions, read their reviews and educate yourself. They are the worse too!
This is a sham and honestly, the FBI and BBB should look into these predatory practices. They prey on people in dire need of fixing their financial situation. I paid over $10000 in 15 months and had not completed paying 1 debt. I have cancelled my account immediately and pray that no one has to fall for this. I will be seeking help in recovering damages from this. PLEASE DO NOT, DO NOT BELIEVE THIS CRAP!!! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, NEVER AVAILABLE AND THEY EXPECT YOU!!! TO REACH OUT TO THEM. I BASICALLY PAID THEM TO DO IT MYSELF!!! This is to your reply...........you still can't explain to me how I've already taken three settlements on my own part and you only up to 2. that's the problem I'm having. You should have been paying me for my own services if that's the case. I've been representing myself in most of these cases at this point. You've done nothing but collect your fees ahead and settle none. thanks but no thanks you're simple good luck don't do nothing for me. This is a shame and will continue to share with anyone I encounter. You are a sham!

After posting my bad review - the Anchor law firm reached out - but still did not fix the problem. My entire bank account was levied and cleaned out by lawsuits. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE THEM FOR HELP. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND GIVE YOU FALSE INFORMATION AND A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY. I WENT TO A LAWYER WHO IS NOW LOOKING INTO THEM. IM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE FBI AS I BELIEVE I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED. THIS IS A SHAM COMPANY AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. THEY DO NOT ELIMINATE DEBT JUST CAUSE MORE WITH PENALTY FEES AND COURT FEES. The litigation specialist you provided was no help. I was still being sued and still had three levies on my account. ANCHOR LAW FIRM IS A SHAM AND THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION AS WELL AS THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU SHOULD LOOK INTO THE DEALINGS OF THIS CROOKED FIRM. This program is a SCAM!!!!! A HORRIBLE SCAM AND YOU RIP PEOPLE OFF. You don't deserve any stars! I am very disappointed and never, ever will recommend it to anyone. All you care about are taking your fees, not helping my debt. I have spent over $15,556.66 in two years, and most of that went to ALL YOUR FEES, NOT MY DEBT. Three cards have not been touched nor settled. I was also not aware that any debt forgiveness is considered income, and I will be taxed on the remaining forgiving balances. I am worse off than when I started this program. They have caused me mental anguish, sleepless nights, extreme worry - do I need to keep going! I trusted your program to help me, and it has done nothing but HURT ME MORE and FAIL ME, in more ways than one. I am now seeking local, legal counsel to help me fix this HORRIBLE MESS! Kills me to give 1 star when they deserve nothing. Bunch of crooks, I kept to my agreement, made my payments on time, scanned every piece of paper that I got, made phone calls to confirm that they received the summons and what happens mine and my son who is 19m years old, has his pay and tax refund deposited into his accounts and it was levied along with mine. They didn't care all they wanted was a payment from a single mother who had zero in her account. What a disgrace this place is, I wish I would of read up on them before getting scammed into it. Pieces of garbage to treat people the way they do. You stole from my son's college education!!!! I'm blaming you!!!!! ************************************************************* UPDATE Well guess who called me today the Con-Artist Anchor!!!!!! Not to try to help if that’s what you are all thinking because of the crap that you replied with. Get this they called me for a payment today!! Imagine after I kept my end of the bargain & they never even once send me a settlement letter after I sent them over $14,000 & the accounts were Levied for over $10,000. Screw you Anchor!
I'm happy with my service. I've stuck with the plan, and I'm very happy with my settlements. I've been happy with the communication. I've had one creditor (holding 2 different accounts) take me to court. It was scary, but Anchor let me know exactly what I needed to do. I was surprised that they didn't have an attorney respond, but I understand why they didn't, and like I said, they walked me through the response the first time. The second time I knew just what to do. Both accounts were subsequently settled. This isn't for the faint of heart, that's for sure. Trusting in the process in the beginning was hard. But I'm in the last stretch now. 8 more months on my plan, and, except for a few negotiated payments that extend beyond my plan, I'll be debt free. The only thing I wish that Anchor had warned me about - I do have to pay taxes on the money that was written off by my creditors. That was a shock. I understand why, but I might not have been so surprised if I had been warned ahead of time.
Anchor Law Firm duped me out of money in promise to pay off my debt. Anchor has done nothing! I am out of almost $7,000 with creditors still being owed money. And now, have court complaints being filed against me. I am in shock and can't believe I let this happen to me. I did this as I used to work for the corporate world but started my own business, and thought it would be a great idea to get help financially. UPDATE: On March 8, 2019 (after I posted this) I received a phone call asking how they could help me with this complaint that I posted. I have not heard from ANYONE and now they're contacting me because I filed an online complaint about them????!!! Total joke, fraud, scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very professional and returns calls on a timely manner. We have a long way to go but so far we have made settlements with 9 creditors. Also the great thing is my home phone is quiet with no bothersome calls from my creditors.
