Amber Electric receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Amber electric have upped my usage charge by 3 times my original costing. Doubling my previous bill. I work full time hardly home with 2 people in the house. When asked why it is so high. They said I used more that month. Not double the amount. I will not use them again it recommend them.
This is a great company if you use lots of electricity. They give you warnings when the price is expensive so you can cut back your usage.The rest of the day your power is less then half the price of other power companies.As they price power on how much the are charged,not what they can get away with like other companies.They also send you details in the beginning of each season on their maximum charge related to peak pricing.They also have an app that shows how much power you are using at anytime and how much solar is going back into the grid. When you have any questions they get back to you quickly. Amber is the best electricity supplier I have had in the last 20 years.
Outstanding product. We get our electricity at cheaper price and best of all get great export prices. Customer service has been amazing, explaining each questions answer clearly with the assistance to talk us through what we needed to do. Well done guys
A breath of fresh air, with a company that is allowing solar and battery installers to be rewarded for their investment. Other companies, have reduced solar input to 3 cents per kw, an insult. Looking forward to a mutually rewarding experience, where we are rewarded for our investment.

Signed up with Amber after being with so many other companies over the years. Waited for my bill to arrive to see if I had made a mistake. I am so thrilled. My bill was so much smaller than I expected. We are so pleased we decided to connected Amber to our business as well.
Please let me know when Amber plans to be listed on the ASX, I'm in!
Great service and great App.My only comment on the App is that it needs alarm facilities on the FIT as well as the power price. Being a retired Power Station operations trainer, I understand how the system works, and was very keen to explore the possibilities of the system. Have a Nissan Leaf e+, 12kW of solar PV on the roof.... okay lets play the game. The only problem is that the box of magic (V2H/V2G) which needs to be connected between the car's batteries and the house needs approval by our neanderthal regulators. Which at this stage looks too far away to effectively play the power game. The Bi directional charger needed can only be purchased in Europe and the USA. Once this becomes available I will gladly return to AMBER.
Good customer service. Amazing pricing strategy. Solid environmental philosophy. It may take a little time but I think everyone will eventually move their electricity to this retail model. My only request is that Amber expand their services to include natural gas!
It is perhaps good for some season. But i have paid for as high as 35c per w as an average price which is extremly high. So if you can control when to use and when not to use, go ahead, but if you dont wanna be bother and use as you need, you better choose other plans.
I love energy efficiency, renewables and watching the transition from fossil fuels and so being able to manage my use of power according to the price and time has been fun. At some point I'd like to have an automated system to export power from a battery when the price signals are right.
