Our Lapland trip was absolutely magical, and we owe a huge part of that to Abbey Travel – especially Suzanne, who was simply outstanding from start to finish. From the moment I considered booking our trip to Lapland, Suzanne was incredibly patient, helpful, and always honest with her advice. She kept us updated every step of the way, answered all our questions (no matter how small!), and made sure we had realistic expectations – which actually made the whole experience even better. The trip itself was unforgettable – meeting Santa, husky sledding, reindeer rides, and the stunning snowy scenery. Thank you, Suzanne and Abbey Travel, for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend!

Will not honour travel voucher

**Update to reply** I can confirm that no offer to extend the voucher by a week was given by Abbey Travel. I would appreciate transparency And truth with your replies. I would not recommend using this company as a result of my experience with them and poor customer service. Unfortunately, I'm having a bad experience with Abbey Travel honouring or part honouring a €1000 voucher. It expired June 5th 2019 but prior to expiry, mid April, I called into the shop and enquired about extending it or renewing it as I was not in a position to use it at the time. I was informed by one of their staff in the shop that I could use it within 6mths of expiry but that a 10% reduction in value to the voucher would be applied which I accepted and was fine with. I contacted them last week to look at booking a city break for 29th Nov coming and was informed that the voucher had expired and could not be used. I explained my position and previous conversation had with staff in the shop last April and I was directed to their general manager upon which I have had some emails back & forth. Her position on it is; that the voucher is expired and that they are under no obligation to honour it. If I was informed last April when I went in to enquire about extending/renewing the voucher that this was not possible then I would have made use of the voucher before expiry on June 5th and not sat on it until now. I find it hard to accept that a company like this simply will not honour or part honour a prepaid travel voucher of €1000. €1000 does not just disappear and has already been banked by the company I suspect, and I see this as being borderline scamming consumers.
