Xplosive Events Reviews

If Carlesberg made THE perfect event....Summerfest would be it. Third year we've been, and it just gets better every year. An absolutely fantastic day with so much to do, everything you could want at a festival, best burger I've ever had!! Music elements with something for everyone, just a brilliant day, huge congratulations to the team... see you next year.

Was really looking forward to this event . Was really disappointed A very expensive entry to a fun fair that was well over priced . There was not many stalls and litter everywhere left after 2 hrs . Total waste of money .

For the price of the ticket and the cost of everything there it was an absolute waist of time and money. The monster truck show was 5 min and he had a flat. The quad bike show was absolute rubbish my 11 year old can do better. The fun fair was so expensive. For a family of four cost us a lot of money for absolute rubbish. We left after 4 hours and so were many others. We will never attend another 1 of these. DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY.

Awful event. We couldnt even get in. Traffic was so badly managed we were queuing for hours to move 0.1 mile in an hour with dtill a mile to go so had to come home. Lots of ticket holders experiance the same. And those that did get in from reading comments said it was rubbish anyway. Contacted for a refund but have been ignored and blocked. They delete any comments not in their favour. Avoid like the plague. These people are scammers!!!

It was very expensive for what we actually got. It took ages to actually get in due to traffic. Then when in we couldnt actually see any of the shows as there was crowds of people in front . It was poorly laid out ehich meant most people couldn’t see.’We didn’t see anything of the monster trucks or other displays only heard them. The music wasn’t great. During the day, the food and drink was over priced and the cost of rides was disgusting considering we spend 100 quid on getting in. I won’t be wasting my money next year!

Xplosive events continue to blight local residents in Market Harborough. What with their continued shambles of not being able to manage parking, causing delays in excess of 90 minutes to local residents and causing gridlock across the town. It’s happened many times before & they don’t learn lessons & don’t hold themselves accountable. Edited to respond to the reply Xplosive Events left: You use the word Hound, yet on multiple occasions your company have caused traffic chaos and nuisance aircraft movements to local residents. Yes we expect noise living nearby, but you are the only event which causes traffic chaos and caused queues in excess of 90 minutes to leave our property towards Leicester. You seem incompetent at listening to feedback re parking & clearly don’t have a competent traffic management plan in place. You turn up, cause chaos to local residents & take your profits back to Oxfordshire. Further edited: You fail to take into account the other events that take place at the showground which cause no delays to locals. You fail to grasp the chaos you caused coming from Harborough town centre & the local Facebook groups will give you a good idea of this. This also isn’t the first time you have done this & you continue to note that traffic continued to flow, but it didn’t, it may have been consistently slow. You need to look at the plans again to ensure residents and locals are not inconvenienced like this. Thank you for confirming you worked with partners, residents will be in touch with these too to ensure your operations are reviewed & they don’t let the chaos happen again. RE sitting in living rooms at cars comment, we all support local causes & will be attending the local carnival. We support local causes that care about the local community, which you clearly don’t & just see it as a cash cow.

it was a very lovely experience, the shows the music, the rides. kids where happy. adults even more excited. it was just a brilliant day out with the family would be nice to have prices of rides given in advance so as to budget coz we wanted to do everything

Claimed refund for a event that changed date and location. Got told refund within 30 days Still not received money back Awful company sent email asking what's going on and when will I get money back, no response. Will be contacting ombudsman

I ordered tickets to Newbury summerfest and the event was cancelled, they offered a refund which I accepted, this was in the middle of May. I have contact xplosive events a number of times about this and had no response they just keep sending me replacement tickets for an event that has passed. I have emailed, left voicemails and had nothing back. Avoid this company, I will now be contacting my bank.

Still waiting for a refund for an event that was cancelled! Mid May I responded to the initial email requesting full refund! We were told it would be refunded within 30 days. Its now July and still no sign of a refund. Please DO NOT book with this company!!!

Been following Xplosive Events around then UK watching their displays and enjoying their events. The time, efforts and creativity that goes into each one is unbeaten! Abingdon fireworks is my all time favourite with their immersive display, it’s one not to be missed. Highly recommend!

The display was stunning, and everything was well arranged for a great experience.

Attended last year and had to come back. This year was even better! Can’t wait to return for many more years.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how well everything was set up. The fireworks were simply mesmerising, lighting up the sky in perfect harmony with the music. The crowd was well managed, and there were plenty of food and drink options. We are already looking forward to next year.

Great entertainment, delicious food, and an unforgettable fireworks finale! Everything was well-planned, and the kids had a blast. Highly recommend!

Everything was well planned, from entry to the final burst of fireworks.

The fireworks show was truly one of the best, with stunning effects and a perfect soundtrack. The event was well organised, making it easy to enjoy without any hassle. Food stalls provided plenty of tasty options, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy.

Have been wanting to write this review for a long time but its been a hard year full of trauma and death which is why this review is even more poignant and special to me. This company always gets such a bad wrap for the parking at the fireworks shows but its not about the parking its about the fireworks display and bonfire show and spectacle that they create for people to enjoy. The ABINGDON BONFIRE & FIREWORKS display in November 2024 was the most spectacular and moving fireworks display I have ever seen in my life. And i have seen many all around the world. Was like standing underneath exploding stars and planets. It lit up the night sky like daylight. Goosebumps and so so emotional. The music choice was fantastic and went with the fireworks show. Even included some Tomorrowland tracks which i was also lucky to attend the same year so had such a personal impact on me. So special having this memory to share with my son. Karl Mitchell-Shead the director is a genius. Truly original best indescribably spectacular, moving, unforgettable fireworks display and amazing bonfire show. If you don't experience you will never know or understand. Will be back every single year. Thank you Xplosive Events was like nothing I’ve ever experienced on earth.

The crowd, the music, the fireworks—everything combined to create the perfect evening. We’ll be back!

£84 for a family of four for entry , I’m not entirely sure what that fee was for as everything inside we paid for anyway ! Which yes you expect to pay a bit more some of the prices were just ridiculous! Couldn’t see the monster trucks so moved on . Street performers were listed , fire breathing etc didn’t catch a glimpse of any ! Wouldn’t return there were many festivals on at the same time for free entry that topped this by the looks of it !
