A Trustworthy company.
I have used the company many times and have always found them to be reliable and trustworthy,
Zest Car Rental is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

Great customer service, good price on a Hertz car and a brand new vehicle. Easy collection and drop off in Dublin. Will definitely use Zest again.
The booking process was intuitive and customer support when I had a query over return of the security deposit was prompt and friendly. The local rental company Fontana that Zest use in Cyprus was excellent.
I always use Zest for my car rental bookings as they are so helpful if you do happen to have queries or issues occur. I needed a late change of dates as my husband suffered an injury and needed an operation but this was all dealt swiftly and with a refund for unused dates. I also always use Centauro cars in Alicante airport via Zest as the cars are always really good.

We have used Zest (Masterkings) every time we go to Lagos, which is many times over the years. Always the best deal around. Good, reliable, clean cars. Our only gripe is that you get charged if you want to return the car before 8am so it excludes us from the early flight which is normally the cheapest and the quietest, but you canβt have everything in this life.

First time I have used Zest for car hire out of Faro. Have always used a different supplier but Zest came out cheaper this time so thought Iβd try them out. Have to say that Zest and the car hire company Drive 4 Fun were both excellent from start to finish. Completely trouble free. Will certainly use them again. 5 star service.

Booking our car hire through Zest was simple, good value for money and gave us piece of mind. Zest came highly recommended by a trusted independent source (Which? magazine) and we can clearly see why. The terms of the hire were clear. We were able to purchase all the cover we needed, at a good price, without any need to buy special/additional cover at the point of pick-up.

Thoroughly recommend! Zest is a breath of fresh air and excellent value for money. In my experience the best car rental broker in the UK and recommended by Which for good reason. The booking process was hassle-free with payment made in advance two weeks before the start of the rental period. The credit card deposit (held as pending only) was removed quickly upon return of the rental car. Friendly knowledgeable staff are just a phone call away (based in the UK) and provided clear email communication throughout. Everything went like clockwork. I will definitely be using Zest in the future.

Zest pricing policy is very clear and transparent. The cost of the car rental is the cost, nothing further to pay. Because Zest includes the CDW, (Collision Damage Waiver) you donβt feel pressurised or intimidated into to buying extra or unnecessary additional insurance. Zest also provides an additional driver (if required) for free. I would not hesitate to use them again.

So pleased to find Zest is highly recommended by Which magazine. And I wasn't disappointed, the booking was simple. And an extra driver free and their excess insurance clinched the deal for us. Customer service was speedy and effective. I do hope we can use them again for our next rental.

It is frustrating to have to write this, all the more so since Zest could have earned a 5 star rating if not for failing to return my deposit. After an easy booking process with Zest/Masterkings in Lisbon, I duly returned the vehicle without issue. Days turned into weeks and my deposit had not been returned. It has now been over a month and a half. While acknowledging the error and claiming to be in discussion with Masterkings about the deposit, Zest refuses to tell me why there has been such a major delay on conducting a simple transaction, let alone any timeline. As such, I recommend avoiding Zest given that they do not live up to their contractual obligations. Update (1/21/2025): It's a new year, and I have still not received my deposit! In fact, I am now convinced that Zest and Masterkings are collaborating on a rather complex financial scam in order to keep their customers' deposits. Other negative reviews on TrustPilot seem to indicate similar activity. The scam works like this: Roughly two weeks after returning the vehicle in good order, I received a credit of β¬450 on my credit card (the amount of my security deposit), but at the same time also an unauthorized charge from Masterkings of β¬450. I did not request or authorize this charge nor did I receive any service for it. At that time, I raised this issue with Zest and Masterkings, the details of which I discussed in my original review above. After a drawn out, months-long process, Zest and Masterkings claimed to have no knowledge of the extra charge, ultimately suggesting I go to my credit card company to reverse the charge. When my credit company contacted Masterkings, they claimed that refund was to reverse the unauthorized charge of the same amount on the same day, thus winning the dispute. Clearly, the β¬450 credit I received cannot be for both the return of my security deposit and the refund of the unauthorized charge. And yet, Zest/Masterkings have claimed both those things on different occasions, despite the blatant contradiction, all the while keeping my security deposit. This is not incompetence, this is a deliberate strategy of Zest/Masterkings to defraud their customers. I am now taking legal action, but I wanted to warn others to avoid Zest given criminal business practices. If you have fallen victim to a similar scam, please report them to your local legal/arbitration bodies as I have done.
