Deal completed eventually
Having gone through the process of providing numerous photos of the car and completing a questionnaire about the car. I agreed a price and arranged a date for collection. On date of collection 4 guys arrived and set about scrutinising the car, fired it up and left it to run for what seemed an eternity. One of them tried to haul the boot open, it is a powered tailgate and another set the wipers off on a frozen windscreen, who does that?!! They checked paperwork, took photos of everything. Seemed to be going okay, CBG called to say we are happy to buy the car and it is as described, but then CBG said that the service history was not satisfactory. I have several years of servicing done at my local garage and they provided a service report but according to CBG this does not constitute a service history and as I could not provide an invoice they would not accept the car had the SH I claimed. So beware, I could have negotiated but the car has been serviced as per BMW requirements on the I-drive and felt CBG were seriously out of order, so decided not to go through with the deal. The CBG callers attitude changed at this stage, started to become a bit rude, talking over me which was alarming moment. As per CBG reply the deal was eventually completed at original agreed price but I had to instigate this review of my SH by talking to a manager, so not plain sailing, however we got there in the end.
