Extremely frustrating booking experience and no support

I had a terrible experience trying to book a SunExpress ticket for my father. I used my American Express card, which their website claims is accepted, but the payment failed twice—yet I was still charged both times. Each time I got an error message saying, “There was a problem with the payment registration,” and no ticket was issued. I contacted their customer service over web chat, and they just told me to try again or wait for a refund within 10 business days—no urgency, no real help. The second time I tried to book, the ticket price had increased, and to make matters worse, AmEx still didn’t work, so I ended up having to use a different card just to secure the ticket. In the end, I called them directly, hoping that could solve the issue faster and I could get the ticket from the original price I first paid, but they said they only make bookings with a Visa or Master card. SunExpress offered no compensation or price adjustment for their system failure. Very disappointed. A simple ticket booking should not take two hours of your time!

Bana gönderdikleri linkten defalarca check-in yapmayi denedigim halde check-in yapamamistim oysa. Ücret ödemeyi kabul ettim ama bu sefer kredi karti onaylanmadi ve nakit ödeme yapamayacagimi söylediler ve ucagin kapanmak üzere oldugunu söyleyip beni iki kücük cocuk ve valizlerle ödeme yapmam icin baska yere gönderdiler. Ordandan ödemeyi yapinca tekrar ilk sirada durdugumuz yere valizleri vermemiz icin geri gönderdiler. Iki saat sirada beklememizin nedenini ucaklarin cok olmasina bagladilar 😂 “All international flights” yerine Diger ülkeler gibi sehir sehir check-in yapsaniz hem bu kadar Sira olmaz hem de dolmusa müsteri arayan muavin gibi “Duabi passengeeers??” “Hannover passangeeers?” Diye ortaliklarda gezmek zorunda kalmazsiniz. Sanki sorunca da oralara gidecek yolculara faydaniz oluyor. Umarim siz de diger ülkeler gibi yakinda bir sistem ve düzene Sahip olursunuz. Bir de 522 numarali kasanin Yaninda oturan örgülü sakalli ukala görevliniz yanlis is secmis. Insanlari hem olmayacak kadar strese sokup hem de yolcunuz ucaga yetismek zorunda oldugunu aciklamaya calisirken insani azarlayamazsiniz!

SunExpress beeindruckt mich immer mehr. Ich habe heute, dank blödem Autofill meines Browsers, bei mir und meinem Partner den gleichen Namen gehabt. Ich habe kurzerhand direkt bei SunExpress angerufen und wurde sehr freundlich begrüßt, in klarem Deutsch und sehr lösungsorientiert und beruhigend. Der Herr entschuldigte sich vielmals, mich hat warten zu lassen (das waren vielleicht 90 Sekunden) und kam mit einer guten und schlechten Nachricht. Die schlechte, der Name ließe sich nicht ändern aber die gute, er storniert die Buchung einfach und ich kann neu buchen. Einfach zuvorkommend und kulant. So stelle ich mir das vor. Achja, dann war ich im Laufe des Tages nochmal im Chat, weil ich für unser Kleinkind ein Babybett haben wollte. Die Chatpartnerin Merve war ebenfalls sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Nicht 0815 Textbausteinmäßig wie bei Am---on oder ähnlichen. Daher heute vollste Zufriedenheit dank dieser zwei wundervollen Mitarbeiter. Macht bitte so weiter. Mich habt ihr als Reisegast gebunden ♥

Subject: Request for Flight Change Without Additional Fees SunExpress Request Number: Sun-09311922 Hi, I hold a ticket for the 16:45 BRS departure - 23:55 AYT arrival flight on December 20, 2024 (Booking Number: S583TE), which I purchased for 190 EUR. Currently, the price of this flight has increased to 260 GBP. I would like to change this ticket to the 12:15 BHX - AYT flight on December 18, 2024, which is now priced at 118 GBP. In other words, I am requesting to exchange my more expensive ticket for a ticket that is 50 GBP cheaper without any additional cost. The December 20 BRS-AYT flight is fully booked at this time, meaning that SunExpress would gain more from this change. However, due to work commitments, I need to be in Turkey 3 days earlier. If you can assist me with this matter, I would be very grateful. I am not asking for any refund or compensation for the price difference, making this a mutually beneficial change for both parties. I have contacted customer service, but they informed me of a 70 EUR change fee. I kindly ask for your support in making this exchange without additional charges. Terrible airline, would avoid if possible

Terrible airline. Online check in didn’t work (kept asking for payment even though the amount to be paid was 0). Contacted them on WhatsApp and they eventually told us we would have to check in in the airport and they would remove the 5€ fee per person for airport check in. When checking in at the airport they wanted the 5€ fee and said they couldn’t remove it even though we had the message from the in writing on WhatsApp. Suggested we left the long queue and went to their service point where they could maybe do something about it, but as we had 5 pieces of luggage and a toddler with us (and had already spent 30 minutes in the queue) this wasn’t really a possibility and we eventually just paid under protest. Seems like this was a classic thing to do to get more money.

Unsinnig verkompliziertes Online-Checkin

Die über den Reiseveranstalter erhaltenen Unterlagen/Daten nützen gar nichts, wenn man ein Online-Checkin vornehmen möchte. Man musste erst bei Sunexpress anrufen, um sich dort umständlich einen Code zu besorgen, mit dem ein Checkin überhaupt möglich war. Was für ein Schwachsinn! Und natürlich ist ein persönlich ausgesuchter Sitzplatz mit Kosten verbunden… Es wird gerade so viel von Entbürokratisierung geredet. Hier wird’s alles nur verkompliziert.

Beschädigter Kinderwagen - keine hilfe

Flug ok, aber Kinderwagen beschädigt angekommen und seit da schliessen sie den Vase immer wieder und helfen nicht...wollen wohl einfach nicht Zahlen. Werde nie mehr mit SunExpress fliegen.

Bei Online CheckIn ständig Fehlermeldung. Mussten trotzdem CheckIn Gebühr am Schalter entrichten. Kontakt und Kundenservice ist eine Katastrophe. Endlosschleife.

Awful heartless company that makes…

Awful heartless company that makes mistakes, destroys baggage and then blames it all on you. The attendant at the desk scanned our passports then tried to invoice £15 to get on our flight. They had a long queue and in the time of waiting we missed the flight and had to book a £240 flight. Will not fly with them again and highly recommend not to use them or loveholidays as they are both useless.

Sun express, re bomb scare at Gatwick, even though it took a day and a half to get to Turkey, the lady on the sun express desk was amazing, I think her name was Bianca,she held it all together, got everyone booked into hotels , and re booked flights for them, a credit to the company,many. Die App und die Kommunikation wenn man Hilfe benötigt klappt gar nicht. Auch das neue Treueprogramm würde besser funktionieren wenn man bei Buchen und Bezahlung direkt einen Button hätte um mit Treuepunkten zu bezahlen. Auch die Punkte verfallen viel zu schnell.
