Shocking customer service from Skipton Building Society
My wife who is very disabled phoned into close a maturing 20k fixed 18 month ISA. Agents were not very patient or understanding or helpful. I set up the a/c as my wife cannot use her hands to type. Asked her a question she couldnt answer i tried to help failed her on security. I was given my wifes permission to speak on her behalf . Spoke to Carrie or Karen my wife had passed security got as far as making the maturing isa payment to my wifes bank ac . I was hung up on . Phoned back spoke to another agent would not help Peace was her name. Advised we go to local branch 70mile round trip to Glasgow and show Id Not an option . Spoke to Eric he was Ok Peace she was useless very unhelpful requested call esculation to snr of manager made me wait said no one availiable. Harped on about going to branch explained again not an option. Opened an online a/c as we cant get to a branch. Told a mngr would phone back within 2 days not good enough. Phoned the Glasgow branch mid morning redirected to head office . Spoke to another female agent she hung up on me . Phone straight back spoke to Sam explained everything he apologised but couldnt help. Advised my wife and i await this call back from a manager. I have requested a DSAR data subject access request for all recorded calls for yesterday and today and will be reporting Skipton Building Society to the Ombudsman FSA. You have stressed my self and my wife out . My wife is bedridden and i have recently suffered a major heart attack.
