Review summary
Mint Mobile has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
The phone plan for Mint has been great.
But then i decided to buy a new phone with them.
How dare I do that! Worst company ever.
The phone never even made it to me and i was charged $500. I never got the phone and they refused any support at all. Confirmed delivered by Fedex to H.H.H. THAT IS NOT MY NAME. it was clearly stolen.
I purchased insurance but i never even got the phone to activate it.
Im tired of getting danced around.
I want my money back.
I have wasted an hour in Europe trying to get WiFi calling to work. It has worked on and off and now Mint doesn't even recognize my number. I renewed (annual) on the condition they make the feature work from Europe and they promised. Now I've been on the phone twice, wasting 40 min on two diff calls with two reps, promising they would fix it. f Mint and they'd get a MINUS 1 if that were an option
There should be 2 separate reviews ,one for the service which seems good so far and the second for customer service website and app which totally SUCKS! Been trying all day to log in and it won't recognize either of my mint numbers so I have. O access to my accounts. Customer service is clueless. Spent hrs on the phone with them . They can't help. So now I'm stuck with no account access and no way to change payment method since I do not give payment information over the phone verbally
I just want to say, THE QUALITY OF MINT IS TERRIBLE FOR ME. I live in north Seattle, and I pay for the premium mint plan, and I'm only able to make calls and use data for about six hours per 24 day. During business hours, I rarely am even able to make a call l. Maybe there's something unique about my situation, but my advice is don't use mint if you live in Seattle and need a reliabke network.
I switched to Mint from ATT after 8 years of unlimited data and Mint mobile drains my data to try and upsell me to buy more or get their unlimited plan which is NOT a discount compared to other plans. They seem to have some kind of control on reviews as it is difficult to post the TRUTH. They need to be investigated by the FCC for draining customer data.
Rip off company. Customer service is non existent. They will straight out lie to you. They will “promise” that it will only be 4 hours, and that a supervisor will contact you. Never, ever have they reached out. 36 days, more than 30 attempts to resolve their failure to refund as documented and promised. Worst company ever.
Okay service in the USA, Minternational Pass NOT receommended
Generally decent service in the USA. Sometimes my friend with T-mobile has signal when i do not.
Minternational pass worked okay in Thailand (after several restarts and misleading text messages from Mint claiming I had no active pass), was extremely slow to connect in Cambodia, and failed to work at all half of the time I was in Vietnam. Customer service was not helpful. My friend with T-mobile had no trouble roaming in Vietnam. Also, the 10-day pass says $20 on the website but I was charged a total of $27.99.
Mint Mobile service failed on two phones, not recommended
Don't bother with Mint Mobile. Just had a complete service failure on both of our new Samsung phones. Troubleshooting with customer service (removing SIM card, resets, turning off phone and different cell phone transmitters) didn't help. Switched to T-Mobile (which bought Mint Mobile last year), and both phones are working flawlessly.
For what it's worth...DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE!
They are totally inept in every aspect of service. I paid for an entire year of cellular service in advance and yet they cut my service off 9 months early!
They have charged my credit card twice for a one time service (over charged) and have after nearly 5 hours, 4-5 Mint representatives, Chat online, they are still unable or unwilling to correct this matter!
I repeat, DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE!
BTW, Mint Mobile is NOT BBB accredited! I wonder why...
Amazing. Smooth. Easy. A+. My only gripe, is that when you go past your “unlimited“ high-speed data, it slows down to a halt after that. It’s basically unusable. Other than that. It’s great.
