We bouth our first home with knights sollicitors they did a great job.
A very professional team led by superb solicitor who acted for me both on a sale and purchase of a property, He answered all my questions quickly and explained any legal issues suscinkly. It made the whole process much easier and I would highly recommend Knights as an excellent firm of solicitors.
Jodie Coy and her team made the sale and purchase of our property straightforward. The property we sold had an unusual lease and freehold arrangement, coupled with the purchase of a new build there were many challenges. Recommended.

My wife and I regretfully engaged Knights plc, a law firm recommended by our financial advisors, to prepare our Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Letters of Wishes. Our journey began with an introductory meeting, presented under the guise of marketing, with one of their partners. This session, filled with trivial banter and self-praise, was never disclosed to be billable. We were never made aware that an introductory meeting would be chargeable. Naively, we proceeded, not yet formally committed to their services. Persuaded by their initial pitch, we chose to proceed with their services, faced with a choice between a fixed fee of approximately £4,000 plus VAT or billing based on time spent. The latter was recommended as the most cost-effective approach, a suggestion we took at face value. The ensuing process was riddled with inefficiencies, notably the unnecessary review of documents, inevitably racking up additional billable hours. This inefficiency culminated in a staggering intermediate bill which breached the initial estimated costs, with completion costs alone amounting to an additional £3,400 (inclusive of VAT). A competing firm has subsequently completed the same work for less than £1,000, highlighting the egregious overcharge by Knights plc. Shockingly, our bill included around £1,000 for the supposed 'non-chargeable' introductory meeting. When challenged, Joanna Farrow, the overseeing partner, defended this by claiming legal advice was provided during this session. This justification not only contradicted our initial understanding but also showcased the firm's deceitful practices. In addition to this the firm tried to charge us £150 for reviewing and sending us our own timesheet of costs, after we questioned this, they agreed to write this off as a sign of goodwill! Given our experience, we strongly discourage anyone from engaging with Knights plc for Will preparation or similar legal needs. Should you consider their services, insist on written confirmation against introductory meeting charges and opt for a fixed fee arrangement (if you are happy with the quote). Their conduct, in our view, borders on the exploitative, aiming to extract unwarranted fees from unsuspecting clients. Driven by our experience, we are compelled to warn others through this review. Furthermore, we are reporting Knights plc to the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Law Society, to make them aware of their practices.

Knights Professional Services in Newcastle and especially Scott , are the best solicitors we used . The professionalism and the expertise in which our purchase was dealt with is a breath of fresh air. Scott was proactive , punctual, above all informative. If you are buying or selling these are the solicitors to trust and to go to. Thank You so much Scott ! I am already looking forward to the next project together.

Lowri and Harriet helped me with a property sale which we needed to complete in a very quick timeline due to personal factors. They were both absolutely brilliant, their service and efficiency made the transaction the smoothest and quickest one I have ever had before. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again for my next purchase!

We engaged Knights for our conveyancing needs, selecting a solicitor listed on the developer's panel from whom we were purchasing our first flat. While we understand the necessity of verifying funds, our solicitor went overboard by requesting explanations and invoices for expenses incurred on behalf of my wife. They even demanded ID verification for friends who had merely reimbursed me for expenses, for which I had to pay £75+VAT per individual—a frustrating and unnecessary expense. We cannot recommend their services. The solicitor went on holiday without informing us, and upon reaching out, we received a standard response promising information "in due course." The constant barrage of questions, asking for invoices and documentation, led to our decision to cancel the purchase. Despite this, we were charged almost the full value of the initial quote. Their actions seemed focused on extracting money from our situation rather than providing proper guidance and support.
