Review summary

HWRK Magazine receives high praise for its quality articles and professional layout, particularly appealing to educators and teachers. Reviewers appreciate the insightful content and the magazine's relevance to current educational issues, often highlighting the contributions from teachers themselves. Many customers express satisfaction with their experiences, noting the helpfulness of the staff and the positive impact of advertising in the magazine. However, a significant number of reviews raise concerns about aggressive sales tactics, with some labeling the company as a scam due to experiences with cold calls and unfulfilled advertising promises. Despite these negative reports, the overall sentiment remains largely positive, with many recommending HWRK Magazine as a valuable resource for educators.

Stumbled upon this as a friend had told me of the magazine, makes a change from the normal blurb on the industry that is teaching. Particularly liked the article by Nathan Burns ( Using Fundraising to develop students ). Would like to see more articles dedicated towards maths . However great read.

highly recommended resource for educators

I always find myself referring back to this magazine, its been extremely invaluable to me in my daily teaching. Having articles written by teachers and educators makes it more relatable, they share effective teaching strategies, provide classroom tested resources to perspectives on current educational trends. See article on (Sustainable Development Goals) I highly recommend to any new and long serving educators.

SCAM ALERT 🚨

SCAM ALERT 🚨 Same as the reviews below….in between the ones they’ve written. I received a call from HMWK magazine at the beginning of March 2025. They claimed they could offer me advertising space, half page for a good price. The sales man was very pushy and claimed it was for Home Work magazine, which went out to all involved in Education, Head Teachers, Teachers, Support staff etc etc. I then got an email with a draft advert, which they had basically lifted information, copy and paste. I then received another call last week from the same salesman, as i recognised his voice. The same salesman tried to blag me saying that I’d advertised last year in the WEST MIDLANDS MAGAZINE and tried to get me to pay another £195, which is goes to all hospitals, fire stations etc etc for emergency services staff. He was very pushy and kept trying to get me to pay up front. When he became aggressive on the phone alarm bells started ringing 🔔 it made me doubt the HMWRK magazine ad that I had already paid for!!! I rang the numbers I had which were dead….then rang HMWRK and got the same scouse!!! I’m furious 😡 I’m a self employed mum and have wasted all day on this and weeks designing and putting together my own ad. I’ve wasted my time and energy following this up, contacting my bank and writing this review to warn anyone else. Anything with UltimatePR or Ultimate Advertising I hope you read this review before saying yes. 🙌🏻

A Heartfelt and Inspiring Resource for Educators

At a time when teachers and school leaders are stretched thin and often underappreciated, this publication serves as a much-needed reminder of the incredible impact educators have on our communities. What sets it apart is the strong sense of community it fosters, inviting contributions from all corners of the education world and encouraging collaboration rather than competition. Whether you’re a seasoned leader or early in your teaching career, HWRK offers something valuable and affirming. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to feel seen, supported, and reminded of the importance of teachers and teaching.

One of my colleagues put me onto this magazine and as a NQT the resources/articles have been very valuable to me. The Metacognitive modelling articles are brilliant with follow ups and more in-depth learning discussions. There is a wide range of topics and it’s always up to date with all educational information.

This is a scam!

This is a scam!! I strongly advise that you do not engage with any of these people, as they will claim to advertise your company, but this is a lie. I was fortunate enough to get my money back, but this was after the bank got involved with their legal team.

High-quality resource for educators

An excellent magazine, which is a high-quality resource for educators. Featured writers are experienced and dedicated practitioners and the range of topics covered are relevant and offer practical ideas and advice. I have worked personally with editor, Andy, who is highly professional and passionate about providing a platform for the sharing of best practice in education. The magazine is free to download and the website also has a wealth of additional articles. A fabulous resource for those who are part of, or interested in, the education profession.

this is a big scam

this is a big scam! will claim to advertise your company and when you do not agree they demand money of you for a service they did not supply nor agree to! when you do not agree with them they become aggressive and demanding. sending warning emails and going as far to send court emails (no home address was given) no links they provide in emails work nor do phone numbers. disgusting and scare mongering. do not trust.
