Having recently bought a property on The Rise through Goodfellows, I wanted to say we found Lynn, James and the rest of the staff extremely helpful and lovely to deal with. Helpful Estate Agent - Positive Experience

I was purchasing my house at the end of March 2025 which was undoubtedly a very busy time for all involved in house sales as a lot of people were looking to buy before 31 March. The estate agent for this property, Jonathan Walugembe, went above and beyond to help both myself and the seller get the purchase over the line in time, enabling communications between all parties to move as quickly and efficiently as possible, which was so helpful in the circumstances and for which we were all extremely grateful. Particularly as I'm aware it was probably a very busy time for all. Thank you Jonathan! I also spoke with other estate agents from Goodfellows when looking at other houses earlier on in the process who were genuine, friendly, and able to provide helpful local knowledge about the area and purchasing within this area, so it was a good experience all round.

So very glad we used Goodfellows!

So very glad we used Goodfellows. They succeeding in getting our house sold within weeks where other agents struggled. They have a wide reach of buyers so getting viewings was easy and they were very professional with showing them around and giving us feedback within 24 hours. Throughout the whole sales progression they were excellent in telling us where we were and helping us getting the fastest sale possible by talking to both selling and buying parties. Better communication

Very on the ball when putting property up for sale, keeping you updated when sale agreed could have been better. They were helpful with some of paperwork required but felt we had to chase them when we wanted to know where sale process was at. This probably caused more frustration due to using solicitors recommended by them. Solicitor being remote, getting hold of your conveyancer and dealing with paperwork was not ideal and if we ever sold again, would make sure we used someone local.

Not so Goodfellows

We've bought our first home with Goodfellows, and we are left with a bitter aftertaste. The company and the agent were very enthusiastic and pushy till the handover... and then everything changed. On the day of the handover it is the agent's/company's responsibility to make sure the house is as promised. They did nothing to ensure this. It is only after we moved in, we had seen how the builder had cheated us out of many things by cheaping out on materials. there were holes inside inbuilt cupboards and sawdust and building debris left inside the cupboards for us to clean. Then we realised the BUILDER has cheated us out of the agreed upon snagging list. So we called up the AGENTS to ask them to intervene, and they just completely washed their hands off us saying they can't help us because the builder hasn't paid them. Our main gate fell off within 2 days of moving, and they said they can't help us with anything. Why would I go through an agent if at the end there is no answerablity. Disgusting behaviour - even though we bought a lovely house, we've ended up feeling cheated.
