sliding doors fitted
Had sliding doors fitted. 5 star service. Workers were very friendly and did a great job, leaving no mess whatsoever. Will definately use this company again for any home improvements

Could not fault the company at all. From having Chris round to talk through the windows, then the surveyor, followed by prep work by the builder Raz and then the installing of the windows by Mark & Kevin. Had no issues, they worked professional, respecting the property and very clean workers. They are not pushy unlike Anglian Windows and this is the first time using EYG.
EDIT - after posting they started to do things as per agreed. Ordered works costs 33,000 with EYG, there were the cheapest firm to quote by £2,000 by so this should this is not quote that is too cheap for the works etc. sadly its impossible to get them to actually perform and start work or even provide a start date as apparently there are issues with my order which sales need to resolve but never action.
It started off okay. I ordered windows through them but quickly realised that they are very pushy with sales. Salesperson made me order and pay then and there to get the ‘best deal’ and also wanted a man available, my partner, which I found extremely sexist and worrying. Got some sliding doors from them which were half fitted and left in a sorry state. I had to chase up months after to get this sorted which took two attempts to get right. Door wasn’t the right size which was disappointing. Since then I haven’t wanted to use them but I am getting cold called consistently on a weekly basis. Asked them to take me off from their contacts list which still has not been done.

AVOID THIS COMPANY We asked the EYG salesman for a maintenance free front upper and lower bay windows in March 2024. We live in a conservation area so planning permission had to be applied for, we were concerned about this as several houses in this area had been refused planning permission, the salesman responded with “it may take some time, but we can do it, maybe back end of this year or early next year 25.” We then asked him if planning permission was refused would we get our £1100 deposit back, his reply was “YES but they would deduct the planning permission application cost i.e £200”. So we signed their contract under the impression that our £1100 would be refunded if planning permission was denied After this initial consultation, on no occasion did EYG contact me, the few times I needed info, I had to contact them. They initially sent a surveyor round, who pushed a lump of metal into parts of the window, damaging the frame, who then informed me that the upper part of the windows could not be done and we would have to paint it ourselves, this was not in the initial contract that we signed. Then a few weeks later a second survey was performed, as they never got it right the first time. Several months passed when a third survey was done, as the initial surveyer had left the company, the third surveyor said that the sills could not be replaced and we would have to also paint them ourselves. That's not what we signed up for, nor was it in the contract. A few more months passed and I happened to check on the council planning lists on the internet, only to find that they changed the plans for the actual window frames taking 4 inches off each window, once again no consultation and certainly not acceptable, at that point I phoned EYG and spoke to their sales manager for the first time, and the plans were once again changed, this shows the incapability of EYG’s surveyers. Finally the planning permission was refused by the council. I phoned EYG as they haven't officially told me that planning permission was refused and still haven’t several weeks later, and speaking once again to the sales manager who I phoned, who initiallly offered me only £500 refund, but later after speaking to him a second time, he informed me that the fee for obtaining planning permission was over a thousand pounds, and that he told me this earlier on in the year because its on his records, It may on his records but the first form of communication was when I initially phoned him, so this is untrue, surely this is a case of their surveyors being incapable of doing their work correctly, and charging for incorrect plans and also being misled by their sales staff. The sales manager couldn’t resolve the problem and told me one of the directors will contact me. Im still waiting I’ve emailed them on several occasions with no response 09/05/23 and also on the 13/05/25 . One the 29/05/25 I phoned them again but with resolution and waiting for the directors call. I also emailed the director with no reply. UPDATE: 1st contact, that I've received a letter dated June 5th from the director, basically telling me that they had the right to charge what they want. After replying on the 6th june via e-mail and a letter in the post, asking how much they were prepared to refund me and for a complete breakdown of their charges, it s now 13 june and as yet no response. Update 2: 2nd contact via letter on Sat 14 June stating that we were told it would cost £1025.00 . They aplied for planning permission three times and failed, and on no account were we informed. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY

We are sick and tired of this company. My elderly disabled mother had some (extensive) work completed by them years ago and they have rung her repeatedly on a regular basis ever since, wanting to quote her for more work. It is often a struggle for mum to reach the phone to answer it, and a waste of her time and effort when we have told them over and again to stop ringing. We have politely told them that she does not want them ringing her and i have had angry words with them on occasions when i have answered, but still they continue to pester an elderly lady. Unfortunately we can't block their number on Mums landline but i consider this to be harassment. Although we don't have any significant complaints about the work they completed, I really wish we had never dealt with this company as they are causing my mum significant stress.

Visited their showroom in Hull today looking to get a quotation for sliding patio doors. Spent about 10 minutes before anyone even showed their face. When someone did show up she kindly requested one of her colleague’s come and assist. He didn’t even introduce himself so we advised him what we wanted and without even making eye contact or looking up from his calculator offers us the price. No dialoge on what colour what handles nothing, so we then had to give him that and again got another price. I requested a formal quotation for what he was offering, his response “Yeah I can write it down” he then did exactly that. Scribbled on a business card?? Which had him as a sales consultant. I think not. Sorry EYG if that’s the best you’ve got I’m taking my business elsewhere. Not a great experience and wont be going back for any other work in the future.

Avoid at all costs!! We had full upvc windows and conservatory replaced in 2024 by EYG and the experience was terrible. Their fitting team was unprofessional, we had to site manage snags everyday and they needed to return 7 times after the conservatory was fitted there were that many issues of poor quality, rushed work and behaviour many would associate with lads on holiday. I hate giving bad reviews and would love nothing more than to enjoy our new windows and conservatory, but I'd really recommend going with a different provider given this experience.

We chose EGY to replace our conservatory, windows and fit a garage door, but we really wish we hadn’t. Below are just some of the issues we experienced: - Working part days so job took longer than it was supposed to (only told it would not be finished at end of last day) - Not turning up when they said they would & not informing us that they wouldn’t be attending - Leaving potentially dangerous rubbish strewn around the garden - Using different fitters each day so we had to continually repeat ourselves and things weren’t finished to our preference - Being continually lied to, including to do with what could and couldn’t be done, types of fittings used and quality of finish - They used incorrect parts which needed replacing - The conservatory fitters were very noisy, disruptive and the job was finished to a poor standard - The conservatory floor has been badly damaged and needs replacing - The self-cleaning windows not only do not self-clean but are already permanently marked by bird poo. We are now left with lifelong cleaning costs at an increased rate due to how difficult some areas are to get to. The Management and colleagues that initially followed up recognised the poor work. So much so that after the initial time set to install the conservatory, we had 7 further visits to try and resolve the issues. In the end we told them that time would be the last, they still didn’t bother to do a good job. We are now left with either having to live with the bad finishes or pay for someone to re-do them. All this would be bad enough, but the attitude of the Director assigned to deal with our complaint has been disgusting. We received a blanket apology and were advised that due to company restructuring, this situation wouldn’t happen again, which I do not believe for a second after having to deal with him and his dismissive attitude. We listed many issues which were just ignored, hardly any of the issues (and none of the ongoing cost issues) were addressed. We were given information by their office regarding costs which turned out to be a lie, he didn’t even bother to apologise for that, just made excuses. We were assured by the Sales Rep that we would only pay once we were happy, yet another lie. Whilst they did give us a discount, the amount offered (and then some) will be swallowed up by replacing the damaged floor and having the poor workmanship re-done. That was the maximum they would offer, we had no option to agree as he just threaten us with court and demanded payment.

We recently had our windows replaced by EYG and are thrilled with the service we received from start to finish. Due to damage to our property, we needed new windows fitted urgently, so we contacted EYG for a quick quote. A representative visited the very next day to take measurements and provided a detailed quote on the same day. Once our insurance approved the work, we placed our order, and the process moved swiftly from there. The surveyor came out promptly to finalise the measurements, allowing production to begin without delay. The installation itself was completed in just three days by two exceptionally skilled installers. They were polite, professional, and meticulous, taking care to leave no mess behind at the end of each day. They truly were a credit to the company. It’s only been a few days since the windows were installed, but we’re already noticing a significant improvement in the warmth of our home. Not to mention, the windows look fantastic from the outside! We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and would highly recommend EYG to anyone looking for quality windows and outstanding service. Thank you, EYG!
