Waiting too long

Was referred in November - still on waiting list 9months later. In July I rang them up saying I needed help asap, was told I’d be phoned back the next week. Two weeks later I’ve heard nothing Don’t know how they can think that’s okay and leave people to cope by themselves when they’ve reached out

Formal Complaint Regarding Mistreatment and Forced Medication at Chesterfield Mental Health Unit

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding my treatment at Chesterfield Mental Health Unit following my transfer from Leicester Mental Health Unit in October 2020. Upon arrival, I experienced a deeply distressing and humiliating situation. While quietly sitting in the lounge watching television, I was threatened with physical restraint and forced sedation by four members of staff—despite displaying no disruptive or violent behaviour. I was told that if I did not take prescribed medication voluntarily, I would be tied down in a private room and forcibly injected. This threat, and the aggressive manner in which it was delivered, caused extreme emotional distress and fear. The following day, I requested an advocate in an effort to protect my rights and address the mishandling I had endured. The behaviour of staff members represented a serious abuse of power and a breach of professional standards. I was visibly upset—reduced to tears—and struggled to comprehend how I could be treated in such an unprofessional and threatening way in a care environment. Throughout my time in the unit, I lodged three appeals against my detention under Section 135, all of which were initially dismissed. I was also inaccurately diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychosis, which I strongly dispute given my history and lack of diagnostic evidence. It was only after persistent advocacy and legal pressure that I was discharged after two months—despite a psychiatrist previously stating I would be held for six months. This entire process was unjust, and I believe I was falsely detained and misdiagnosed. I am therefore requesting the following: A full review of my treatment and interactions with staff at Chesterfield Mental Health Unit Copies of clinical assessments, detention documentation, and incident reports relating to the use of restraint or threat of sedation Internal communications involving staff that led to decisions about my care and diagnosis Confirmation of the name and role of the psychiatrist involved in extending and later terminating my detention Please treat this complaint with the seriousness it demands. I am prepared to provide any identification or supporting documents necessary to process this request, and I expect a thorough investigation into these matters. Just to clarify and correct my mental health - I've been diagnosed with mild depression and anxiety that's it, NOT schizophrenia or psychosis Yours faithfully, Date of Experience - 18/10/2020 Dear Trustpilot Team, Thank you for bringing the flagged content in my review to my attention. I wish to respectfully disagree with the claim that my review violates Trustpilot’s guidelines. I described my genuine personal experience with Clinical Partners, and I believe it is in line with your policy of sharing honest feedback to inform others. If specific wording was found problematic, I’m open to revising that portion—however, I would appreciate clarity on exactly which parts you believe breach the guidelines. Furthermore, I’m concerned that Clinical Partners have not engaged with my review directly. If they feel my account is inaccurate or unfair, I would welcome a transparent response from them, rather than relying on reporting to remove content. I believe this undermines the purpose of the platform, which is to facilitate constructive dialogue and accountability. Please let me know how best to proceed. I’m committed to keeping my review fair, factual, and within your standards, while ensuring my voice as a customer is not silenced. My experience is that they would prefer me to top myself than pester them with my issues. I put in a complaint last year and it's coming up for its birthday. My pain is min by min which is what they can't understand. I went on a year cbt course and 9 weeks before the end they kicked me off ass I self harmed by punching my face and I got a bruise, also they ask you at the beginning how is everything and I said very bad as my negative thoughts were tending to drive me to the end. I have even emailed the directors this year with no joy. Dave woods I think it is investigating and told me that he will have completed the complaint by feb as he's has had to sit down with 3 of the staff, I then asked don't I get any witnesses as it is extremely biased. Or I think I may be innocent for a battle in court.

avoid this service

avoid this service, totally useless, they are not prepared and reckon they do not have a single person of the opposite gender to even sit with a client and talk to them, you would be better talking to a brick wall , no empathy what so ever

Beautiful people

For decades I was verbally, emotionally abused by staff in psych hospitals, I never had paranoia until I’d been in one of those hospitals for 8 years. After that experience and other abuse and horrific trauma I’ve come under the care of Derbyshire CMHT. Their treatment of me, their manner, kindness, transparency, compassion, this alone has restored my faith in humanity, yes, I am ill still, though not always. But regardless, the Derbyshire CMHT and Radbourne unit in derby itself (except for the consultant) have all helped me with my healing, expectations of terrifying treatment have gone, and expectation of compassion and practical help now supercede it all, I now know that the majority of people are good people who just want to help. With the past 25 years of abuse in hospitals, as well as much of my childhood being abused, I thought I would never ever recover, but this CMHT is helping me have hope, expect positive help and guidance, and I genuinely feel I have a safety net in these beautiful people. Thank you all. (I’ve put a guessed date down but actually I’m referring to the last 6 or so years.)

Manager refused to provide support as I had lost all faith in the NHS. These people are not accountable to anyone and see themselves as troubled by patients rather than there to support, They lack all the fundamental ethics you expect in healthcare, I particular at the management level.

Worse after

Worse after. Got nowhere with the docs to complete they never read apparently for me after Id wrote? Nothing helped with their anxiety advice, again I told them what to write on their diagram. Pointless support. Public places to vent stress for other people to overhear. Had meltdowns when I got home, in a darker place after revealing my life. Horrible experience. Nothing personal towards the therapist, but the system was no help and I felt worse for the 12weeks

Needst to be put over the tax payers knee once and for all with politicans locked out

n spite of my GP writing the relevent part of the Trust concerned correspondences about the decaying decline of my mental health. This parasitic tax funded entity refuses to give me a simple screening for ADHD even when I met all the criteria at a preliminary test conducted by a GP nearly two years ago . The person who answered the phone said in gloating tone that it could take longer then that . No doubt the Consultants send their children to nice schools and many use tax funded wages to send their children to private schools. In cases where the offspring are euro divergent they are more likely to get the best help money can buy . They can also jump NHS cues and call in some markers when it comes to them and theirs, Unlike a child of a zero hour worker left to the miserable failures of institutions corrupted through the proxy of no accountability and no moral compass like this institution . Just think of it a child reliant on a increasingly corrupt NHS which can find endless sums of tax payers money to defend the indefensible like blood scandals and Nurse Libby will odds on still be at a point of disadvantage , when it comes time for a Consultants son to graduate university with a nice neat ADHD diagnosis to mitigate for his short falls on the way to a life time of well paid jobs with good terms. The managers know that people with untreated ADHD are more likely to experience a massive amount of noise in their thoughts on a daily basis , problems leading a balanced and productive life , impairments with socio economic development ,( By the way all our parliamentary parties want to see that finished so that the poor and economically disadvantaged remain in life long poverty quick sand. ) The election will not give Cambridge street the bolt up the rear it needs.. NHS Consultants and their well paid enablers of abuse will continue in the main unaccountable and unanswerable in any way to John Smith. Elections are never revolutionary Two years to get screened for ADHD is a disgrace . it's not that the NHS is poorly funded it is that the money gets spent on perks and other expenses to give the managers a sense of self prestige . The money that is actually dispensed into services for the client base the tax payer is little more then crumbs , just like the professional etiquette. The senior abusers of the NHS don't care whether you are suicidal at your wits end or completely impaired in your daily life through having all the symptoms and burdens which are ten fold with untreated ADHD/ They don't care about how it effects every aspect of a persons life and their engagement with the wider world . There are just appalling phone lines and non supportive support centres to hear your rants and greet you with detachment and disempowerment . A stop gap net . and dead end to set you back to square one of waiting for the mental health torture to end and it probably wont with unscrupulous Consultants in the driving seat and not at all accountable to their share holders the tax payers. About as accountable to us as a drug lord is to a village he plunders from and charges the peasants extortion for the their mere existence. I have had ADHD all my life but without a full diagnosis I can't legally claim it when it comes to problematic situations that can arise in every day situation I understand ADHD is protected characteristic but in this world where anyone that is not rich is expected to jump through hoops to get justice you need a full certified diagnosis to get proper medical help or use it in a relevant court case . In a nutshell I have no ultimate protection in the work place

Disgusting

Disgusting. Theres a reason i never ring these helplines after a lifetime of being given the numbers by gps/temp services that can't help. These people do not care, the lass couldn't wait to hang up the call and did beforei even said bye after i was actively having a panic attack on the call and told her i have plans for suicide. Zero humanity. NHS needs burning down and rebuilding. You are inhumane the lot of you. No one can depend on you on the phone, adult social care. A&E - all have the same dismissive attitude and can't wait to get rid of us. We'll all be dead soon if you carry on treating people like this, lifeline my f***ing a*se. More like a screw you kill yourselves because we can't be bothered to listen.

Unlike the other reviews here my experience was five star

Seeing the one star reviews I felt I had to leave my review although this is not something I would normally do in a public forum. I was under Derby City Crisis Team for several weeks recently while I was living temporarily in Derby. My experience was excellent and having had visits from a couple of different workers, I then had regular appointments with the same person. I won’t name him for professional reasons but just to say he was extremely patient and empathetic. I am a mental health nurse myself and he was the type of nurse I to strive to be. I was signposted to various services who contacted me shortly afterwards and though I decided not to use them I felt confident that they would have supported me. I know people have a very variable experience of services and there are many factors involved in this though I have to say that this team, along with the three other Crisis teams I have been supported by on my travels over the past year have been excellent. Of course services make mistakes and they should always strive to do their best and be held accountable. However, at the same time it has to be considered that, particularly in big cities they face a workload that is almost impossible to meet the needs of at times. Thanks

Dear me a bunch of people out to make…

Dear me a bunch of people out to make you end your life. This is a a game to these people who can’t communicate with the Lower class, p3 helpline are evil they bully you breate instigate leave trauma and pain behind they hate foreigners and even talking to them about mental health they will attack you mentally . I reported them as they were instigated reactions and are not trained in mental health just answer calls like it’s a game to make you end your life complaints are not investigated and anyone who reports them, they use victimisation and get the police to arrest you saying it’s malicious which is ridiculous as they are bullying the mentally unwell, agency staff hired people clearly without training on mental health and if you try to tell them they are wrong for bullying people they will mentally abuse you . The bully the most vulnerable and talk about you lie about you and don’t understand mental health. All privileged people from privileged backgrounds paid to do nothing sit there and bully others .
