PASSED THE TEST FIRST TIME WITH FLYING…

PASSED THE TEST FIRST TIME WITH FLYING COLORS.... This is really amazing. I had never looked at the materials for the PMP prior to taking the class. Although I've been doing the work for my entire work life, I never had the formal training / certification / terminology that the PMP required. This was incredible. In FOUR DAYS, I went from not knowing anything about the PMP to passing. I can't recommend Cheetah Learning highly enough. They ROCK! This was so much more than a test prep course. This really did prepare me for the test in terms of material - but also - all the tips regarding HOW TO TAKE the test. How to check yourself. Time management for the test.... Amazing. Simply Amazing.

I passed the test

I passed the test, so apparently it met the objective. I think the live virtual class was a much better choice for me than the in-person class. The tests were helpful, and the mind map was helpful. Ray gave us good test taking strategies, and the memory map of the processes was very helpful. Some of the materials were out of date or incorrect, and the class didn't allow enough time to take notes from the book.

Highly recommend the PMP online training!

Ray was great! Was very direct and kept us focused on the task. I enjoyed the alpha recordings. It allowed me to relax, but still feel like I was studying. I also really loved the flexibility of the online class. Best result was that I passed in 5 days!!!

I have been taking classes with Cheetah…

I have been taking classes with Cheetah for quite a while now and I would definitely recommend their approach to learning (Learn, Do, Check, Act). It works all the time. They take a very practical approach and this helps me to relate to actual day-to-day incidents, rather than a dry text book approach.

I took a calmer approach

First of all, I know how difficult this test is...so much information...however, after having 10 years experience working in education, I feel that I have a pretty firm grasp of best practice. Cramming information is not best practice. Studying content that cannot be related to real world experience is not best practice. Taking paper tests with questions that are outdated...in comparison to a computer based, high stakes exam with situational content...it's out of alignment. Mind mapping doesn't work when you are pressured by truncated time (1 minute to speed read and take notes, and then memorize where they are on the card...). I would be happy to consult ways to improve the program, because - and this is honest - the instructor Paul was the best part of class. I really enjoyed him. Lastly, I will say that the course was a boost, in terms of laying a foundation for the rest of my own personal study (over the weekend and with my own proven tools). I just don't believe that you can justify intensive cramming and expect to retain knowledge and think critically at the same time...

Life Changing

Haven taken more classes, courses, webinars, etc. over my life than I care to remember, I can state with no doubts that Cheetah Learning crushed them all. I was skeptical at first, but bought into what they told me to, how to do it, when to do it, and who to do it with, and far surpassed the goals I had set for myself. I've now taken 3 courses from Cheetah Learning, and am planning on taking more. I find the learning interesting, effective, and long lasting. I can apply a lot of the learning methodologies to other parts of my life. I've increased my productivity throughput, accuracy, and capacity for learning. I passed the PMP the first time I took it largely in part to the Cheetah Learning PMP Boot Camp. They gave me all the tools I needed to confidently pass the exam. About 20% through the exam, I realized how well I was prepared, about 60% through I realized I was going to pass easily. The rest of the test taking was actually enjoyable. I can't recommend Cheetah Learning highly enough. As stated above, my plan is to continue to leverage Cheetah Learning to enhance all aspects of my life.

Course methods and practice exercises…

Course methods and practice exercises were good. Practice exams within the course were outdated and cited older versions of the PMBOK guide. Online coaching and support was limited to feedback provided on course assignments. Coaching could have been improved by having organized mentoring sessions built in.

So far my exposure to Cheetah Learning has all been great. From assistance in getting registered for classes to attending online classes, they do a awesome job of making sure the information is presented in a clear and sensible manner. The instruction and techniques were…

The instruction and techniques were very good, but there seemed to be a disconnect between areas of emphasis in the classroom and areas of emphasis on the actual exam. From my understanding the exam had been transitioning/changing during this time frame so I'm not sure what if anything could have been done, but there were significant deltas. All that being said I passed on the first attempt by the skin of my teeth, but as its a "pass/fail" exam the end result is all that mattered

PMP Certification Exam prep course…

The PMP Certification Exam prep course was grueling, but the instructor kept our attention and made as engaging as possible. More important was that with the help of the course - and some advance studying - I passed the exam on the first try - the day after the course ended. The strategies shared in the class were critical success factors and could not be picked up by reviewing the PMBOK or looking for tips on the web. Thanks, Cheetah!
